Pune: HOF Furniture Systems Pvt. Ltd., an Ahmedabad-based furniture maker showcasing designs for office and home that are aspirational, need-based and stylish, has set foot in Pune, Maharashtra with its twenty-fourth store unveiled today.Centrally located on the Baner-Pashan Link Road, considered the IT hub of the city, HOF heightens its strategic presence in line with its decision to grow its retail presence across the country. By 2016, it plans to open up 50 exclusive HOF Zones.Given the rise in avid HOF users who have taken to the brand after an unsatisfactory experience with cheap Chinese imports, the store in Pune will contribute to big business. Pune is the second biggest city in Maharashtra after Mumbai, is economically bustling with a strong base of brand conscious and educated consumers. HOF intends to grow business links by the corporate present in the location.
HOF is currently present all over Gujarat, Delhi, Bangalore, Kolkata, Jaipur, Indore, Raipur and Udaipur. Stores are on the anvil in Kochi, Chennai, Nagpur and Chandigarh. Prices of products vary between Rs.2,000 to Rs. 95,000 for corporate furniture and Rs. 50,000 to Rs 10,00,000 for home living furniture.
“Our entry into Pune is guided by the fact that the city is emerging as an industrial, automobile and educational hub. We hope to build brand reverence with them. The store will cater to nearby Mumbai and Satara as well,” said Mr. Hasmukh Patel, Managing Director, HOF.
HOF is now a brand name to reckon with presence even in overseas locations. The brand has spread its wings overseas as well with HOF available in Nepal and Tanzania. Showrooms are coming up in Colombo, Uganda, UAE and Kenya. It had been a pioneer in building the philosophy of workplace interaction with the human body through furnitures to grow productivity over the last three decades now. There is a strong after-sales backing.
The company is inspired by global design influences with expert designers on board like Mann Singh, an NID graduate who is among the only Indian product designer who has worked with Italian design firm Driade. A design studio has also been hired in Italy with an Italian team of designers on board, headed by Miki Astori, for HOF premium fabric sofas exclusively.
“Consumers have the option to customize the creation according to needs. This drew us to HOF and we are proud of the partnership. There are tourist locations nearby. This will only grow customers,” said Mr. Sanjiv Purohit, Frachisee Owner, HOF Pune.
Laurels have come by too. HOF has been honored with the National Award for its outstanding quality products in wooden furniture by President of India, Shri Pranab Mukherjee. It has won the Best MSME Award 2012-13 for outstanding performance for “Quality and Environment Improvement Measures”. HOF is certified by BIFMA International-USA and NexGen Ergonomics, Canada.
