Pune, 10 th December 2016– Day one of the 6 th Edition of the India Superbike Festival was
held at the Amanora Mall Ground. Organised with support from Amanora Mall, the festival
is the brainchild of Amol Talpade, city’s own super biker. ISF is the first ever Superbike event
of India that displayed bikes above 600CC.
Competitions like the best accessorised motorcycle, king of burnouts, loudest motorcycle in
different categories such as 600 cc to 800 cc, 800 cc to 1000 cc and more than 1000cc were
held at the venue. The fight between the competitors was tough and exciting, with the
spectators thrilled by the loud presence of their dream bikes. A special vintage arena for
classic vintage motorcycles was also displayed where people relived the old golden days of
motorcycles.
In this festival, the spectators saw premium motorcycles manufactured by Yamaha, Ducati,
Honda, Triumph, Kawasaki, Aprilia, Indian Motorcycles, etc. As many as 20 biking groups, 15
from Maharashtra alone participated in the event. Riders who have travelled great distances
such from Pune to Leh Ladakh, Pune to Bhutan etc. were facilitated for clocking high
number of kilometres and for their dedication towards this lifestyle. Also at this event, many
clubs were promoted such as Ducati and MV Augusta. Many awards were given such as
‘Best Accessories Company’ and to certain bike clubs for what they had to display and what
they had contributed to the festival.
The brain child of Amol Talpade proved to be a massive success with the spectators of Pune
who brought in a huge crowd and genuine interest of the offering of the festival.
