Pune February 06, 2019: Sparsh – a healing touch, the employee-led CSR group of Infosys Pune Development Centre (DC) recently concluded the mega-fundraising and awareness campaign drive – HEAL on Wheel. The campaign was initiated last year on December 6 and over the course of 6 weeks more than 200 individuals, including Infoscions and their family members registered as cyclists and pledged to raise funds for the key projects around education, health and community welfare.
The objective of the campaign was to generate funds to encourage and sponsor education at the high school and university levels, as well as to address pressing social issues such as water filtration and disability aid. The cyclists reached out to their respective families, friends and professional networks to collect funds for the projects listed below:
As part of the 50-kilometre ride, the cyclists went across Maan Village and Darumbare village. The campaign received overwhelming support from more than 1,000 donors from across the world. At the closing ceremony fundraisers and volunteers were felicitated by the senior management of Infosys Pune DC for their noble contributions.
