Pune: The Centre Head of INIFD Deccan Mrs Huma Ali & HOD of Interior Design Ms Kirti Daryani took an impressive step for sharpening the edges of their student’s career ahead by welcoming the celebrity designer on the board, Mr Mangesh Jadhav for conducting a two-day workshop for these aspiring students.
Mangesh Jadhav, an architect and an interior designer with 14+ years of experience enlightened on the topic “Transforming Furniture” for interior design students. This helped the students think out of the box to transform one furniture into another in a minimal diameter. Also, he briefly explained the importance of and need for transforming furniture. The summary of the workshop provided a vision of providing free space in one room to perform two functions freely providing smart and elegant designs to the interior decors. Amazing transformations of folding bed considering space constraints, transformable chairs, or dining table in the given space added up with the peculiar knowledge of anthropometry, giving students a fair idea of how they can utilize the space in the best possible ways.
This absolute workshop with remarkable logistic ideas blended the interior decors and interior designs with different shapes, colours and locations in the rooms. The splendid workshop encouraged the interior design students, resulting in creative designs and products made by them, which once again picturized & focused the statement of INIFD “The Cradle of Designers”.
