Pune: The Pune Chapter of global IT association ISACA today inaugurated ITS -2015, their two-day annual conference in presence of Dr. Anand Deshpande, Founder, Chairman and MD, Persistent Systems. This year the event based on the theme “Redefining Governance in the Interconnected World”, witnessed participation from CIOs, CFOs, CEOs, Board of Directors and Auditors from across industries.
This program was generously supported by Tech Mahindra, HDFC Ltd, Persistent Systems, Idea Cellular ltd, BNY Mellon International, AEGIS, Lab Systems & UPASS. Speakers from various organisations contributed by sparing their valuable time. A research publication on the theme of the conference will be published shortly. The seminar witnessed demonstration of Drone and Robotic Technology.
In the words of Hemant Joshi, President ISACA Pune Chapter, it is very important to understand the big technology & IT trends viz. SMAC (Social, Media, Analytics & Cloud)& Digital & not only the business opportunity they offer but also the GRCS (governance, risk, challenges & security) challenges these create. These technologies have created an interconnected world which is online all the time, with the audit trails, transparency & access anytime, anywhere on any medium & device. Whilst these technologies create these GRCS challenges, they are redefining governance & have changed & are changing the paradigm of governance as we know it. Understanding of this will not only help business but also the Board, CEO, CIO, CRO, CIA, Auditors, etc., in contributing to improving governance.
