New Delhi, 21st April 2018: Under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana, poor & SC/ST women in Sangam Vihar were distributed free LPG rasoi gas connections by Senior BJP Leader & Ex-MLA Vijay Jolly.
While addressing Sangam Vihar residents Jolly stated that more than 15 lakh household women shall benefit till year 2020 of this ambition scheme of Govt. of India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi thru this scheme aims for women empowerment and also to ensure health & security of women hood. Jolly revealed that Rs. 8,000 crore budget has been allocated by Modi cabinet for this yojana.
Nearly 250 poor women availed the benefit of this scheme at Asthal Mandir ground, Sangam Vihar in South Delhi parliamentary constituency. The assembled women at Jolly’s behest raised “Modi Zindabad” slogans at the program.
The public program was organized by “Adhikar Society” NGO led by President Brijpal Upadyay & team. Prominent local leaders present were local MCD councilor Maya Bisht, Deepak Sharma, Sanjay Chauhan, Ramsaran Rajput, Gokulesh Bhardwaj, Samkesh Sidhu, Bharat Kumar, Badhshah Khan, Varun Bhati etc. The Director of “Cactuslily Enterprises” gas distribution agency Ashok Aggarwal attended the program.
