The Wage agreement was due to settle in their Pune plant since April 2014 and within 6 months of his joining, the renowned German MultinationalCompany Knorr-Bremse Systems for Commercial Vehicles India Pvt Limited based at Hinjewadi, Pune & Knorr-Bremse Employees Union had finally entered into their wage agreement in October 2015.
The Management has given an average wage hike of 40% over a period of 3 years to all its permanent workmen at its facility and the union had agreed to scale up production and improve efficiency,apart from regular wage increase, the members will also be eligible for “Productivity Linked Incentives”, Variable Dearness allowance, provident fund, bonus, gratuity, uniform, subsidedtransport and canteen facility with reduced cost, free medical insurance for self, parents and family, free personal accident insurance etc.
According to Mr. Yogi, their MD, “At Knorr-Bremse, workmen are family members as our other employees. We understand and respect the dynamic needs of our people and also urge them to understand the business needs and play the role of business partner.
