PUNE: Kolhapur’s Anil Chavan defeated Solapur’s Abasaheb Madane 10-6 in the final of the 74 Kg mud category final to clinch the gold medal. The final was held in today’s morning session of 63rd Maharashtra Kesari wrestling championship being held at Shree Shiv Chhtrapati Sports Complex Mhalunge – Balewadi. Maharashtra State Wrestling Association and Amanora are jointly organizing the tournament this year.
Sangali’s Shrikant Nikam defeated Kolhapur’s Praveen Patil 7-6 in a closely fought battle for Bronze medal in this category.
