Pune: Pune based woman entrepreneur Sangeeta Lalwani has been appointed as the International Executive Council Member of SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneurs Council (SCWEC).
SCWEC is a wing of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry that operates with an objective of developing and promoting women entrepreneurs in South Asian region. Apart from successfully running the Jewellery business, Lalwani has also been active in various projects related to women empowerment. She has also served as the immediate past President of FLO (FICCI Ladies Organization) – Pune Chapter.
Hina Saeed, Secretary General of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry has praised Lalwani in her appointment letter for her commitment towards SCWEC and determination to make a difference.
Lalwani said, ‘‘To be an International Executive Council Member of SCWEC is a big honour and a huge responsibility too. Women are enthusiastic and courageous by nature and if we support them at the right point, we can build very good entrepreneurs out of them. I will continue to work towards the cause and am happy that now I can use the platform of SAARC Chamber Women Entrepreneurs Council even more efficiently.’’
