The Ministry of Home Affairs has decided to help the Kashmiri boy, Shri Zaman Ishtiyaq Bhat from Shaher-e-Khaas city in Jammu and Kashmir, who has cracked the IIT/JEE Examination this year.
The boy has secured 5984th rank in the recently declared results and expects to secure a seat in IIT Roorkee, Kharagpur, Guwahati or Chennai.
The State government and the Director General, Police have already announced financial assistance to this boy, and the MHA will fulfill the gap, if any, for the financial assistance.
