Anuradhapura: Modi on Saturday presented to the Anuradhapura Buddhist temple, known locally as Ruwanwelisaya, a casket containing sacred soil from Bodh Gaya. The last time a relic was given to Sri Lanka for keeps was when the Bodhi tree was brought by Emperor Ashoka’s daughter Sangamitta.
