After 38 successful Farmers’ Markets across the country featuring local award winning restaurants, dozens of avid home bakers and master chefs, wineries, organic produce and 100,000+ visitors, Karen Anand and her team was back with the first Monsoon Market on the beautiful (fully covered) lawns of Westin Pune Koregaon Park.
The market was a one-stop shop for great food, shopping, music and lots of entertainment. The visitors were seen indulging in interesting gourmet items, artefact, organic vegetables, oils, clothing and accessories. The event kickstarted with celebrity chef and food critic Karen Anand’s demo on the art of sandwich making followed by a molecular mixology session with Karan Khilnani of Elephant & Co. Some of the city’s best and most popular eateries came together in a specially curated gourmet experience which were especially picked up for the market by Karen. Pune’s foodies gathered in huge numbers to explore curated culinary experiences including cookery demonstrations, meet a fresh and novel array of exhibitors from across the country in diverse spaces such as wellness, kitchenware, eco lifestyle products, artisanal cheese, home chefs, masalas, boutique food manufacturers, vegetable and fruit farmers and ready to eat concepts, all coming together to offer a super gourmet shopping experience.
The host and emcee of the show Ketan Dossa made sure everyone was entertained throughout the show. There was a great line-up of music with the acoustic set by Prateek Bhaduri followed by retro and rock by the Chris and Mike collective which set the evening mood right and had the audience grooving till the end.
