Maulana Madani speaking on the Gyanvapi issue said “I just want to say two things – in any civilized society, there are two ways of resolving conflicts and differences. One way is through reconciliation and another method is through the courts. What is happening now is that people are indulging in cock-fights. We believe that the correct path should be chosen to resolve the issue.”
On being asked, if he thinks the Prime Minister should speak on this issue, the Maulana replied “Speaking won’t be enough he has to do something”
Maulana Mahmood Madani critical of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attitude towards the Muslims of India said “Muslims of India are a dissatisfied lot and they hold PM Modi responsible for them feeling this way.”
On being asked if Muslims are happy under PM Modi’s dispensation, to which Maulana Madani’s relied on, “Unhappy” when further probed if he held the Prime Minister responsible, to which he replied, “of course”
