New Delhi: Ancient Site at Alamgirpur in district Baghpat (Uttar Pradesh) has been declared as centrally protected under Archaeological Survey of India (ASI). Although the site belongs to late Harrapan phase, it is not 5000 year old. The Site is free from any encroachment.
This information was given by Minister of State for Culture and Tourism (Independent Charge) and Minister of State for Civil Aviation Dr. Mahesh Sharma in a written reply in Lok Sabha today.
