All the officers and employees of the Bank of Maharashtra today strongly protested by wearing black stripes against the Board decision to divest power of MD and CEO Shri R P Marathe and ED Shri R K Gupta in alleged case regarding Pune based DSK builder group.
The United Forum of all Officers and Workmen Unions of BOM have convened an urgent meeting today on Saturday 30th June 2018 at 5.30 Pm at Main entrance of Lokmangal, Pune
All unions have formed a forum named “United Forum of Mahabank Unions” to strongly condemn and protest against the unfortunate, unwarranted decision taken by the Board and the directions given by DFS to the board. The union has informed that the period of 30th June 2018 to 5th July 2018 will be observed as protest week all over country and nationwide branches and offices of the Bank
Bank of Maharashtra is financial lifeline of Maharashtra state. Recent decision is treated as deliberate effort to tarnish the image of the bank which is well known for working for common people of the country. It is decided to make whole hearted efforts to rebuild the image by each and every employee of the bank.
Here a special point to note that, right from top management to parttime sweeper, everyone has unitedly backed the protest movement, which is a rare occasion in banking industry.
A review was taken by the United Forum of Mahabank Union representatives regarding whole proceeding. The team of Unions representatives has met Shri A C Rout who is now officiating MD and CEO to brief the position and to assure full support of all unions taken together to the management of the bank.
It is also decided that if the board and the DFS authorities do not take due cognizance of the feelings and protest of employees of the Bank, a meeting of the united forum will be organised on 6th July 2018 at Bank’s headquarter at Pune to decide the further course of action. All the employees working in and around Pune city as well as the representatives from all parts of the country will be attending this meeting.
