Pune: Nrityayatri Foundation , a non-profit organization run by renowned Bharatnatayam dancer, Meghana Sabade will present two solo thematic performances of Bharatnatyam on the auspicious occasion of Krishna Janmashtami on Saturday, August 24, 2019 at 6 pm at BNCA College auditorium, Karve Nagar, Pune.
The performance of ‘Ashtaleela’, which is an interpretation of the Ashtanayikas through the verses of Surdas will be performed by Prachi Saathi from Mumbai, while ‘Shikhandi- the inner quest’, which is a tale of self acceptance of a lesser heard transgender warrior from the epic Mahabharata will be performed by Himanshu Srivastava from Delhi. The common thread in both the performances will be Krishna.
The tickets for the program will be available on www.ticketees.com and on the venue before 1 hour of the show.
