Hong Kong: ONYX Hospitality Group has once again been honoured with the “Caring Company Logo” by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service. Nominated by its social service partner St. James’ Settlement for the second consecutive year, ONYX is recognised for its tireless contributions and dedication in fulfilling the needs of the community, especially in the area of poverty alleviation.
Working hand-in-hand with St. James’ Settlement for more than three years, ONYX has been actively involved in numerous community initiatives – from carrying out donations for the food bank programme Food Without Boundaries to delivering boxed meals to low-income families; from joining the charity race GOrun Together 2015 to staging Christmas programme Dreams Come True for underprivileged children. All these have further fostered a caring culture and played a part in helping build a more harmonious community.
“At ONYX, we care not only for the wellbeing of the guests who stay with us, but also the community that we live and work in. As part of our core value ‘RICE’ – which stands for R
esponsible, Inspiring, Compassionate and Enthusiastic – our team members are inspired to make a difference and contribute to a rewarding environment through volunteerism,” said Mr. Simon Dell, Vice President & Area General Manager, North Asia, ONYX Hospitality Group. “We are proud to be a trusted partner of St. James’ Settlement and receive the recognition. We will continue to observe and address the social needs of our local community, and bring a better living quality to those in need.”
Launched by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service in 2002, the Caring Company Scheme promotes strategic partnership among businesses and non-profit organisations, and offers public recognitions to those that demonstrate good corporate citizenship.
