Kala Sakshi pioneering young artists through their workshop
NEW DELHI: A 4-day Annual Mentoring Workshop and Group Painting & Sculpture Exhibition “Kala Sakshi” organized at Sanskriti Kendra, Anandgram. This workshop and group exhibition give an overarching view of our life through Paintings, sculptures, drawings, installations, prints, ceramics. As 15 young artists and students have contributed and participated in this exhibition. This Exhibition and workshop mentored by Artist Kavita Nayar, Founder of Kala Sakshi Memorial Trust. In this workshop, young artists from all over the country demonstrated their art and showed some true aspects of life through their paintings and sculptures. Kala Sakshi memorial trust organized this annual workshop every year. Padma Bhushan Artist Jatin Das, Advait Gadnayak, Director General of National Gallery of Modern Art was present as the chief guest and boosted the morale of all the students participating in the workshop. A felicitation ceremony was also held at the end of the workshop in which Satyaranjan Das, Pahul Singh, Misal Kumar, Susmita Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, Nayan Jyoti, Gurudeb Pillai were honored with Kala Sakshi Award. On this occasion Kavita Nayar said that Kala Sakshi has mentored hundreds of students since the year 2009, out of which 36 students have been given the benefit of Kala Sakshi Scholorship. This workshop is organized every year by Kala Sakshi Trust to give a platform for young artist. Where artists from different provinces of the country reach here and share the art of their art with everyone, so that the future generation gets an opportunity to learn a lot. We are very happy to find such honored guests in this workshop to increase the spirits of children by appreciating young student artists and their work. And we will try our best that next year we can gather more children and prove to be helpful in giving them a new dimension in their career. Curator Sushma Bahl, curator Premjish Achari, artist Christine Mitchell, Patron OP Jain, NLV Artists Arun and Mathew were also presented on this occasion.
