Having enthralled patrons with some of the most exquisite events in 2018, Phoenix Marketcity Pune is all set to begin the year end celebrations with a one-of-a-kind spectacle, ‘The Manganiyar Seduction’.
The work is a collaborative effort between the contemporary theatre director and the Manganiyars. The magic of The Manganiyar Seduction is in its grandeur and theatrics. The show has received standing ovations and entranced international audiences across the globe, in over 50 countries, with the dazzling spectacle of soulful music.
Directed and stunningly orchestrated by world renowned theatre director Roysten Abel, the 43 musicians perform in a visually seductive set inspired by an unexpected synthesis of folk music and the Hawa Mahal or ‘Palace of the Winds’ in Jaipur. Starting with a solo musician, instruments and voices of 43 Manganiyars build, culminating in a spectacular, celebratory musical feast that leaves you thirsting for more.
