Bangalore, 5th May 2017 : His Excellency Niankoro Yeah Samake, Mali Ambassador launched Friends of Mali in India at a grand public program in Bengaluru. At a overcrowded Karnataka College Hall, Senior BJP leader & President Delhi Study Group Vijay Jolly attended as Guest of Honor. Foreign students of Mali, Nepal, Afghanistan, Congo, Nigeria, Ghana etc. attended the program in colorful dresses, mood & spirits. They clapped & cheered the guests with gusto.
Five topper Mali students in India were honored. Bollywood movie actor Arvind Kumar & pretty actress Manisha specially flew from Mumbai to attend the program.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi has offered 50,000 scholarships to students of Africa in India. And nearly 2,200 scholarships shall be availed by Mali. This demonstrates the firm commitment of PM Modi to enrich Africa was eloquently echoed by Ambassador Niankoro Yeah Samake. Celebration of 2nd International Day of Yoga on 26th June 2016 in Mali, high level visit to Mali by Vice President Hamid Ansari on 29th-30th Sep 2016 along with Indian assistance of million dollars for reconstruction of World Heritage site of TIMBUKTU strengthened bilateral relations claimed Mali envoy.
