Rotary Club of Poona Airport has initiated Project SOCH to give social training to children of migrant construction workers. This is a program which is entirely done with voluntary time given by Rotarians and their spouses in association with an NGO Awakening Jagriti.
The inaugural session for the current year was conducted on 20th August 2016 at a realty site in Sakore Nagar, Vimanagar. Two sessions will be conducted every week for the next 6 weeks to cover personal hygiene, civic sense, awareness of sexual abuse, environment, spirituality and social etiquette.
31 bright and enthusiastic children attended the session in the age group 5 to 14 years. Children showed eagerness to learn and enjoyed the new experience of learning
