An MOU has been signed between Mahratta Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (MCCIA) , Pune and Science and Technology Park, Pune. This Memorandum of Understanding is based on mutual co-operation and understanding for the purpose of promoting the development of entrepreneurship, Business Incubators, promoting Innovation and Innovation Clusters, technology based skill Development, etc in Pune Region.
Both the organizations together would be working towards, developing and conducting various initiatives, programs, seminars, courses in the area of Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Skill development in the Pune Region for the benefit of youth in this area within the scope of each Organisation.
On the occasion Mr. Pramod Chaudhari, President, MCCIA said, “ We would work towards imparting technology based skill training programmes for potential entrepreneurs, Organise joint workshops, seminars, conferences, business meetings to promote, innovation, Entrepreneurship in Pune region and also make effort to create co-working spaces, catalysing setting up of incubators, establish makers’ centers to promote innovation and entrepreneurship.” He added that, “We would leverage on industry members of MCCIA and networking of STP with academia, R&D and Govt for promoting technopreneurship in Pune region”.
Dr. Anant Sardeshmukh, Director General, MCCIA added, “we would make effort to establish innovation clusters by linking industries, academia and R&D institutions in Pune region with the support of industries and government. Also we would synergise potential of both the organisations to leverage central and state government funding and cooperation with international institutions to promote innovation in Pune region.
