– the convenience of servicing your two-wheeler at your doorstep
PUNE: The automotive industry is growing at a rapid pace. Scooters and bikes fuel this growth. They comprise of a whopping 81% to the overall Indian automobiles sector. However, servicing a two-wheeler is a troublesome experience for the owners. Most workshops, whether authorized or local, make the experience of servicing bikes tedious and cumbersome. Being bogged down by this experience, Shishir Gandhi&PrabudhKakkar, decided to address this issue and make servicing a hassle-free process.
Shishir Gandhi &PrabudhKakkarrealized there was nothing productive about visiting a Garage, and hence people tend to delay when it comes to vehicle maintenance. They came up with a simple solution – doorstep servicing – through their startup “GarageWorks”. GarageWorksbuilt technology around the automobile service framework and reverse engineered the model by sending mechanics to customer’s home.To avail the service, any two-wheeler owner can simply make a call or do an online booking on GarageWorkswebsite. The servicing is done at the owners premise by trained mechanics. GarageWorks ensures that their mechanics are trained every six months to ensure better quality of the servicing experience.
“Irregular maintenance of two-wheelers is a major reason for air pollution. The idea of doorstep servicing ensured that the customers as well as the mechanics benefitted. While mechanics get an opportunity to be self-employed without the hassles of owning a physical infrastructure, customers get hassle-free experience and help reduce carbon footprints by regularly maintaining their two-wheelers.” said PrabudhKakkar, Co-founder, GarageWorks.
“What differentiates GarageWorks from other service providers is that it is a pioneer in door step servicing that offers 360 degree experiencethrough a bouquet of services like periodic maintenance, repairs, Tyres& batteries.By offering end to end vehicle management solutions at customer’s doorstep, we have been able to help our customers save both time and money significantly,” says Shishir Gandhi, Co-founder, GarageWorks.
Garage Works is based out of Pune, commenced operations in November 2015 and have recently expanded their operations in Mumbai as well. With a team of 17 mechanics in both these cities Garage Works today is proud to have serviced over 30,000 vehicles with over 10,000 customers registered to its AMC subscription.
