It has been scientifically proven that hot water has therapeutic properties and it also enables us to refresh our thoughts and think clearly.
Though as inconsequent as it sounds, the selection of a water heater decides how you begin your day. The right water heater will leave you smiling after a shower and the wrong one can leave you with a burn and a bad mood.
Knowing that shower is the most integral part of our life, Racold has put together a buyer’s guide that will help answer your woes before selecting a water heater.
1) Which capacity is best suited to you?
The required capacity depends upon the type of usage and the number of persons that will require hot water at the same time. Usually, the amount of hot water at the bathing temperature you get is double the capacity of the product. For instance, 15 liters product will be sufficient for a family, a family in which 2-3 persons require hot water for a bath at the same time or in close time sequence while 25 liters products will be suited for a family in which 3-4 persons will require hot water at same time.
2) Mounting type, Vertical or Horizontal?
Choose the mounting type depending upon your available space where you want to install the water heater. If the space between the place where the product to be and the ceiling is low, then horizontal products are recommended as it has a lower vertical length compared to the same capacity vertical product. But if there is no space constraint then vertical products are better suited as it is more energy efficient. If you go for the horizontal mounting, then look for the inlet-outlet pipes provision in your plumbing system if it’s right-hand side, left-hand side, center pipe, etc. for instance, if both the inlet and outlet pipes are on right then choose a right-hand horizontal product.
3) Product installation place either false ceiling or wall mounting?
The choice of product depends upon the place where the product will be installed. If the product is to be installed on the wall of the nice looking bathroom then the choice should be a good looking product which enhances the look and feel of the bathroom. If the product is to be installed in the false ceiling, then the simple looking product which has built the trust of robust performance should be chosen.
4) Why choose trusted brand products?
Branded products are made of standard quality materials making the products safe and reliable to meet your needs. It gives you hassle-free functioning and performance so that you need not to worry about getting the hot water to meet your need. Branded products also come with good customer support and services along with a warranty. In a nutshell, the trusted brand gives the peace of mind.
5) Is the product suitable for hard water?
Hard water causes quick rusting of inner tank and heating element. It reduces the product life and functioning significantly. To protect the inner tank and heating element the coating is done on it. The protection like Titanium Enamel and SPHP coatings are the best suited to protect the product from hard water.
6) Do you know which product saves more energy?
The product which minimizes the energy loss which happens in the form of standing heat loss is more energy efficient. The standing heat loss is measured in the star rating. The star rating is issued by the Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE) which was set up the government of India under the provision of Energy Conservation Act. Higher the star the higher is the energy efficiency and thus saves more energy and money.
