Below are a few listicle ideas on 2017 Nitto ATP Finals – Live and Exclusive on SONY ESPN and SONY ESPN HD from Monday, 13th November, 2017, 1:30am onwards
The 2017 Nitto ATP Finals, from 12th to 19th November 2017, is the season ending event for the highest ranked singles players and doubles teams on the 2017 ATP World Tour.
Reasons to watch 2017 Nitto ATP Finals:
Return of Fed Express
The record breaking Swiss maestro, Roger Federer is all set to return to the court after skipping out on Paris Masters due to a back injury. Although Nadal has already sealed the year-end top ranking, this will be a chance for Federer to show the world that nothing can deter him.
Rafael Nadal has never won the ATP World Tour Finals, while Federer has won 6, the last 2 being at the O2 Arena. If both the top ranked players are in the tournament this year, it is likely going to be a tough one for Rafa since the venue is more suited to Federer, with it being a hard indoor surface.
With Djokovic and Murray out of the picture due to injuries, the Nitto ATP Finals could be a golden opportunity for other top players of this season. While Nadal and Federer have dominated the 2017 season, Nadal’s possible withdrawal due to his knee injury could open a door for Juan Martin del Potro, Jack Sock and Sam Querrey.
Watch out for Kubot & Melo
After winning their sixth title of 2017 in Paris, Lukasz Kubot and Marcelo Melo are the doubles team to beat in Nitto ATP Finals. They have a 1,270-point lead over Henri Kontinen & John Peers into London, stamping them as hot favourites to finish the season as the world’s No. 1 team. (source)
A range of celebrities like David Beckham, Hugh Grant, Sir Ian McKellen and Manchester United boss Jose Mourinho to name a few have attended the tournament in the past to support their favourite player. The courtside is bound to be interesting this year too.
