Some great quotes by Sadhu Vaswani –
Fasting of the Heart
More important than the fasting of the body is the fasting of the heart, i.e., abstention from desire. More helpful, spiritually, than abstention from food is abstention from sinful desire. And when you save time by fasting, you give more time to prayer and to reading of the holy words of holy men. So are you drawn nearer and nearer to God.
Keep The Lights Burning!
There is a Temple better than any which human hands may make. It is the Temple of the Heart. Within it keep the lights burning – the lights of Truth and Love!
Scripture of Life
Every one of us is writing a shastra, a jeevan veda, a scripture of life. What story does it tell of the part we have played? What have we done on the battle-field of life? Had our food and clothes and slept? Sought ease and comfort? But there is in every one of us, a hidden Self that will not be gratified with the things we seek.
