Rohan Dattatrey More (INDIA) Honored by International Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame (IMSHOF). He will receive the “Honoree Swimmer” award of IMSHOF at London, United Kingdom on 31st March 2018. Ned Danison ,The executive chairman of IMSHOF committee announced on Monday, 9th Oct that Rohan More will be inducted in class of 2018 as Honor Swimmer in IMSHOF through official FB page of IMSHOF , on website of IMSHOF and through openwaterpedia website.
Rohan is the 3rd Indian person to receive this award after long gap of more than 30years, Prior to Rohan, Mihir Sen received this honor in 1956 after that Taranath Shenoy received the honor in 1987. Rohan is also youngest swimmer in the list who are attempting to cross the Ocean Seven,
Rohan completed his first marathon swim at the age of 11, completed the Triple Crown almost twenty years later, in less than 11 months and continues to set an accomplish marathon goals. Many of his swims are first ever for a swimmer from India and/or Asia. Rohan is on track to be the first swimmer from Asia to complete the Oceans Seven.
Rohan is a national figure in Indian open water swimming and received the Tenzing Norgay Award from the Indian Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports. The award, also known as the National Adventure Award, was presented by President of India Ram Nath Kovind.
Rohan is an Ocean Seven Adventurer. Currently he had been Ranked #7 in the list of ocean seven swimmers of the world.
