Dubai, UAE: Rotana, one of the leading hotel management companies in the Middle East, Africa, South Asia and Eastern Europe, today announced extending its brand endorsement agreement with Melissa Reid, who is considered to be one of the best young British golfers of her generation and Europe’s current number two ranked golfer.
“When we first welcomed her into the Rotana family back in 2011, Melissa had already been making waves as one of Europe’s top young golfing talents, and she has since lived up to her potential to emerge as one of the most exciting players on the professional golf circuit,” said Omer Kaddouri, President & CEO of Rotana. “Melissa has been a terrific ambassador for Rotana over the last four years and more, and we are delighted that we are able to take our relationship to the next level. Having Melissa as our golf ambassador deepens our brand connection with a wide global audience that extends beyond the world of golf.”
Voted one of the 50 Hottest Female Golfers of all time, Melissa was Europe’s top-ranked amateur when she turned Professional in 2007. She duly won the Rookie of the Year award on the Ladies European Tour in 2008 and has not looked back since.
“For the last four years, Rotana has provided me with all the support and opportunities I need on and off the golf course, and I’m very glad to continue my partnership with them. In particular, the association with Rotana has afforded me the chance to get valuable training on some great facilities during the winter months, and I’m very excited at the opportunity to continue taking the Rotana brand to audiences all over the world,” Melissa Reid commented.
The new agreement coincides with Melissa’s strong showing at the prestigious Omega Dubai Ladies Masters last week, where she found herself on the winner’s podium with a third-place finish. Melissa has enjoyed a solid 2015, the highlights of the year being her triumph at the Turkish Airlines Ladies Open where she led from start to finish to secure her fifth Ladies European Tour title, and the Solhiem Cup, where she was the only unbeated player in the European Team.
