Pune, December 28, 2018: On the occasion of the 13th Kirloskar Vasundhara International Film Festival, Maharashtra Sahitya Parishad & SP College has organized the 8th Environmental Literature Conference on Saturday, 5th January. This program is held at Lady Ramabai hall in SP College. The senior practitioner of Folk literature and pop culture Dr. Tara Bhawalkar has been elected as president of this Environmental Literature Conference.
This detail was shared by Prof. Milind Joshi, Dilip Seth (Principal SP College) and Virendra Chitrav, festival director at the press conference today.
Dr. Tara Bhawalkar is a Marathi writer who is mainly a conceptual writer. Dr. Bhawalkar ’s in-depth study is related to this folk literature, folk culture, folk dance, and folk art. She has participated in many discussions, seminars, conferences related to pop culture, dramatization, Saint literature, monogamy writing, folk, and pop literature.
Dr. Tara Bhawalkar discovered the drama of theater drama, folk drama, Dashavatar, Thanjavat plays, Yakshgan and Kathakali. She has also contributed immensely to the important works of Marathi Encyclopedia.
This year’s eco-friendly literature gathering will be played in a number of events. The college youth participation is significant and the presentation of their award-winning literature will be done. The theme of the festival is ‘No plastic, Yes to Earth’
