Forgetfulness, confusion or remembering names or words can be a normal part of life. But when these problems start occurring frequently, it could be considered as signs of Dementia. Dementia is a brain disorder caused due to damage in brain cells; that often affects the elderly and interferes with their daily life. Alzheimer’s disease is a common cause. Spreading awareness about the symptoms and causes related to dementia can help people take precautionary measures towards this disease.
As part of its #AskTheExpert series, Seniority, India’s largest shopping destination for senior citizens, in association with Jehangir Hospital, is organizing an exclusive health talk which will address the problems related to dementia. Dr. Radhika Patil, PhD (Geriatrics), PT and Ms. Farzana Mulla, MA, MSc (Neuropsychology) will guide attendees on how to develop habits that will help them regain their confidence and age independently. The workshop will be held on 19th September, 2019 at Seniority Experience Zone, Kalyani Nagar between 4.00pm to 5.30pm.
