Pune: To safeguard the interest of home buyers and to ease the inconvenience faced by its members due to unreasonable delay in registration of documents in the offices of sub registrar of Paud and Hinjewadi, CREDAI- Pune Metro has urged the Inspector General of Registration (IGR) & Collector of Stamps Maharashtra State, Anil Kawde to resolve the matter at the earliest as it is also contributing to the loss of revenue to the state government.
CREDAI-Pune Metro made representation to Revenue Minister, Additional Chief Secretary- Revenue, IGR Maharashtra and other concerned authorities and requested to set up more registration offices in and around Hinjewadi and bring the Sub-Registerar Office of Mulshi Taluka within concurrent jurisdiction of Haveli Taluka. Presently the concurrent jurisdiction of Sub Registrar offices extends to villages in the boundaries of PMC and PCMC but the few villages within Mulshi Taluka are left out.
“It has been observed that in the offices of sub registrar of Paud and Hinjewadi due to the limited number of slots and also due to poor internet connectivity and hardware, there has been an unreasonable delay in the registration process. There are large number of e-registration documents pending for many weeks though signed. It is also causing a huge loss to the state exchequer. It is important as many developers have large, medium, small townships and housing projects in Paud and Hinjewadi and more than 5,000 units are sold in this area every year. We have urged the IGR to resolve the matter for smooth registration of documents and ease the hardships faced by our members and home buyers,” said Suhas Merchant, President of CREDAI-Pune Metro.
