Were absolutely thrilled to be able to manage and operate this beautiful hotel. Working with the Pegula family to bring this key part of the complex to life has been a wonderful journey, and we look forward to contributing to the vibrant and exciting sports and entertainment offerings that the Pegulas and the Buffalo Sabres organization have created, he remarked.
The Buffalo Marriott HARBORCENTER hotel is the centerpiece of a 650,000 square-foot sports and entertainment complex that includes two NHL-size hockey rinks with state-of-the-art amenities; a high-performance off-ice training facility; an upscale 13,000 square-foot sports bar and restaurant; a one-of-a-kind Tim Hortons Caf and Bakeshop; and boutique retail shops and a parking structure. The opening of the hotel is just another example of the significant economic development projects totaling nearly $5 billion in investments in western New York.
Each guest room features Marriotts latest design elements including warm, spacious work areas and Revive bedding for business travelers; well-lit work space with high-speed internet access and extra USB ports; refrigerator and 55-inch LED television; a complete Fitness Center; excellent views of Lake Erie and the City of Buffalo throughout the hotel; and other luxury appointments to ensure a comfortable and productive stay.
Plato Ghinos, President of Shaner Hotel Group, noted the HABORCENTER hotel is the latest addition to the companys growing portfolio of full- and select-service hotels around the country, which now number more than 50 properties. This is one of the most exciting hotel projects in our history and represents the gold standard in design, amenities and features for business and leisure travelers, he said. We look forward to delivering the kind of award-winning management and services that guests have come to expect from Marriott International.
