The wait is over as some of the most successful entrepreneurs turned millionaires of the past decade are back with the latest season of Shark Tank! The hit series was shot in Las Vegas for the very first time, with the show making adjustments such as the judges being seated 6 feet apart, to adhere to guidelines provided to limit the spread of the on-going Coronavirus pandemic. In these unsettling, financially distressing times, Shark Tank is a true blessing to aspiring entrepreneurs looking to make their mark. The premiere also featured a new Shark – Blake Mycoskie. He comes with an inspiring tale of quitting professional tennis to become a social entrepreneur, founding the famous footwear brand Toms, renowned for donating one pair for every one sold to a child in need.
The exciting premiere on Voot Select showcased four pitches, the first to secure an investment was a 15-year-old CEO of Touch Up Cups. He created an innovative, patented solution to paint storage problems with a portable container for easy mixing and application. The sharks were mighty impressed by his immense business knowledge and the confidence with which the mere Eighth-grader conducted the pitch; securing a deal with the guest shark.
The next pitch, by SparkCharge, a duo pitching a portable electric car charging solution received massive interest by the Sharks. Following some electric banter between the sharks, the company managed to win a million dollar stake with two Sharks, Lori Greiner and Mark Cuban! Talk about a win!
Lastly, a coronavirus themed fabric cleaning brand, Garma Guard presented an interesting pitch but failed to garner investment from the Sharks. Intrigued so far? This is just the beginning! We have plenty of episodes to look forward to, featuring life-changing new ideas by the hard-working entrepreneurs that are sure to inspire us all.
