The hotel industry’s leading cloud platform, SiteMinder, has today partnered with HotelTonight, the leading last-minute hotel booking app, to provide hotels with prime access to global travellers ‘on the go and in the moment’. HotelTonight now joins SiteMinder’s more than 250 distribution channels offering reach to both local and global travellers for hoteliers, who can now distribute their real-time rates and availability to the app via SiteMinder’s Channel Manager and have bookings automatically delivered back to their property management system.
With mobile bookings forecast to account for 18 percent of all online travel bookings made in the US, 22 percent of all online travel bookings in Europe and 31 percent in China next year*, SiteMinder’s managing director – the Americas, Fig Cakar, says, “HotelTonight is a very exciting channel for hotels to sell and fill their rooms, even up to the last minute. This is absolutely crucial for hotels to maximise their chances of being booked and ensure they are generating the most revenue possible.”
HotelTonight works directly with thousands of top-rated hotel partners worldwide to secure great low rates for hotel rooms booked from seven days in advance up to the last-minute. With nearly 14 million downloads, HotelTonight features more than 15,000 hotels in more than 500 destinations across the globe.
“By partnering with SiteMinder, we are helping hotels reach the fast-growing number of travellers using mobile devices to book their rooms. Our app is an excellent complement to SiteMinder’s pooled inventory offering, which allows hotels to have all of their available rooms online, all day, every day, right up until that last bed is filled,” says Sam Shank, co-founder and CEO, HotelTonight.
