Mumbai: The much talked movie launched its music at the party on Wednesday evening in the presence of the entire Kaakan music team and industry dignitaries. The music created a romantic mood in the air making the evening a memorable one.
Kranti Redkar along with her flair of direction added to the surprise by unveiling her hidden talent of lyricist. Kranti has written two songs ‘Suki Poli…’ sung by Shriram Iyer and ‘Saajana…’ soulfully sung by Hamsika Iyer co-written with Omkar Mangesh Datt.
The remaining three song’s interesting words are written by Omkar Mangesh Datt and music beautifully crafted by Music Director Ajay Singha. The most talked song and title track ‘Kaakan…’ is sung by the renowned Shankar Mahadevan and the melodious Neha Rajpal.
The other two absolutely addictive songs ‘Gopi Dada…’ is sung by Shriram Iyer and ‘Wedyanche Ghar Unhaat…’ is sung by Swapnil Bandodkar adding their own magic to it.
Adding to the mood for the evening, the audiences present at the party witnessed LIVE unplugged performances by the singers and trailer launch of Kaakan leaving everyone more curious. The audience was appalled by the highlighting performances of Urmila and Jitendra as they came on the stage as their movie character ‘Sudha’ and ‘Kisu’ for the title track. To continue with the fun ride, notorious Gopi dada act was performed LIVE by Ashitosh Gaikwad getting everybody into the groove and foot tapping mood. The soothing song took each one present into a different era truly making it an apt song for the movie. The movie offers songs for various moods from fun; love to sacrifice. The music launch filled with LIVE performances was in presence of entire team of Kaakan Jitendra Joshi, Urmila Kanetkar Kothare, Madhavi Juvekar, Aashok Shinde and child actors Ashitosh Gaikwad and Aakash Banerjee
Kaakan (bangle) revolves around a tragic love story of a young couple in 1970s that separated due to circumstances and whether they unite at their later age of life is only for the audience to see. The movie is beautiful and balanced journey of past and present timeline majorly shot in Konkan.
On the launch, Director Kranti Redkar said, “As this is my directorial debut in marathi movie I was really nervous. But looking at such positive response suddenly I’m feeling confident about the entire movie. I’m excited to see the response from the audience from all generation after listening to these songs. The entire team including my singers and music director have understood the mood of the songs and then expressed. I love writing and I hope the way I’ve been enjoying these songs from past few weeks, audience would love them too.”
The grand music launch of Kaakan gave the entire team a boost for the across Maharashtra release on April 10, 2015.
