Pune, October, 04, 2016: Big & Small, lets save them all – was one of the slogans carried by the little ones on the occasion of St. Francis of Assisi Death Anniversary on 4th October, 2016 and on the occasion of World Animal’s Day. The students of St.Mira’s Pre-Primary & Primary School organized a procession around the school with placards showing slogans for animal rights. They also recited slogans like ‘Stop All Killing’, ‘Live & Let Live’, ‘Creation is one family’ etc.
For St.Francis of Assisi, birds & animals were poorer than the poor. He considered them as his brothers.
The Mission’s founder Sadhu T.L. Vaswani also believed in the ideal of reverence for all life. Rev.Dada J.P. Vaswani too professes the teachings of compassion towards all life and treat animals & birds as brothers & sisters. These teachings are inculcated in each child of St.Mira’s right from Pre-school days.
Be a part of our 25th November celebrations, on the occasion of Sadhu T.L. Vaswani’s birthday. We observe this day as “International Meatless Day”.
