Pune: Hotel J W Marriott brings for its patron’s healthier and nutrition-filled exclusive food festivals. The hotel will be hosting two food festivals at a time, Mushroom fest at its premier authentic Italian restaurant Alto-Vino and Dimsum fest at its global cuisine restaurant Spice Kitchen. These festivals will start at 7:00pm and will be held from 18th February to 29th February.
With a menu designed specially by the in-house chef Christian Huber, Mushroom festival will include range of mushrooms like Chanterelle, Porcini, Morels, Oyster, Portobello and many more. Right from the yummy Mushroom Cappuccino Soup to Spinach Ravioli to Cheese Fondue to Paglia e fieno and the authentic Italian-style Risotto, everything will be cooked with a wild variety of mushrooms at Mushroom festival.
Dimsum festival will feature Cantonese (Chinese) style food prepared and served traditionally in small steamer baskets or in small plates, which vary depending upon the proportion. At the Dimsum festival Chef Kunchok with his team will dish out signature delicacies like Steamed Sausage Rolls, Steamed Soup Dumplings, Steamed and Baked Pork Buns, BBQ Pork Puffs, Glutinous Rice Dumplings, Pan Fried Turnip Cake, Beef Noodle Rolls, Steamed Beef Tripe, Egg Tarts, Steamed Sesame Balls, Sweet Tofu and many more. Moreover, patrons can also enjoy the chilled weather by choosing a hot green tea and side accompaniments prepared in steamed, baked and fried forms.
Speaking about the Mushroom fest, Chef Huber explained, “Often grouped with vegetables, mushrooms are low in calories, fat-free, cholesterol-free, gluten-free and very low in sodium, yet they provide important nutrients to our body. This single product can be added to everyday dishes to provide an extra serving of vegetables and deliver important nutrients. With this festival, we wish to present some unique flavours and health-value dishes using our knowledge and expertise.”
“This festival intends to serve a menu that explores global cuisine with a twist and a healthy consumption. Made of dough with a warm delicious filling, Dim sum is an art to make and I’m excited to try some new flavours in it this time, which will definitely be a treat for Dim Sum lovers,” mentioned by Chef Kunchok, the resident chef of JW Marriott.
The Festival will not only provide a visual delight to the guests, but will be an explosion of unique flavours for the palate. So come over, relish the delectable and scrumptious offerings at the Mushroom and Dimsum Fest.
