Pune, November 9, 2016: Amanora School, Pune managed in association with Pearson Schools, part of world’s learning company, Pearson India, concluded a 12 day educational tour to NASA (Kennedy Space Centre) in Orlando, USA. A group of 7students were accompanied by their teacher, Mr.NitishPotphode.The trip was designed to help students experience the fascinating world of aeronautics and space outside classroom setting, which ensures an adequate mix of learning and recreation.
During their visit, students were given an opportunity to attend and participate in workshops held by Scientists at NASA. They were also awarded the Graduation in NASA certificate on completion of the three day workshop at the space centre.
Sharing insights from the trip, Ms. Meera Nair said “We at Amanora School are committed to providing students with the best learning experience. When classroom training is supplemented with practical knowledge, students grasp the concepts in a better way. It was enthralling to watch our students explore and gain as much knowledge as possible during our short visit. People at NASA were extremely helpful and made the entire experience very memorable”
Apart from visiting NASA, students also had the opportunity to visit interesting places like the Empire State Building, Statue of Liberty, Lincoln War Memorial, the US Parliament, the White House in Washington to name a few.
We had a great time visiting NASA with friends and teachers. We were able to experience in real life what we used to always read in books and watch on T.V. We are glad to have had the opportunity to learn and have fun at the same time, said VaishnaviGarad a grade VIII student.
