New York: Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg on Sunday changed his Facebook profile photo ahead of his townhall interaction with Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

Showing his support for the Prime Minister’s “Digital India” initiative, Zuckerberg wrote in a post on Facebook: “I changed my profile picture to support Digital India, the Indian government’s effort to connect rural communities to the internet and give people access to more services online. Looking forward to discussing this with Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Facebook today.”

PM Narendra Modi also changed his profile picture on the Facebook.

“Thanks Mark Zuckerberg for the support. I changed my DP in support of the efforts towards a Digital India,” PM Modi wrote in a post on Facebook.

PM Modi began his visit to California with meetings with top CEOs including Apple’s Chief Tim Cook, Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella and Google CEO Sundar Pichai.

All eyes are on now set on his interaction with Zuckerberg at Facebook’s California’s headquarters against the backdrop of the Indian leader’s push for Digital India.

In a Facebook post earlier this month announcing the townhall interaction, Zuckerberg had said that he would discuss with Modi how communities can work together to address social and economic challenges.
