Suryadatta Group of Institutes organized an Edu-Socio Connect initiative (2017) for the welfare of family members of Policemen, Armed forces, Veer Nari’s and Veer Purush on 31st July 2017.
This Initiative was furthered today (9th Aug 2017). The students of SNS from classes V – IX were taken to the Police Ground at Shivajinagar, where the Police personnel in training – both men and women were felicitated by the students. Arriving there and watching the personnel in their training sessions had the students overwhelmed at the level of discipline and synchronization that was being followed.
The event began with an opening speech in Marathi by Vaibhavi Raut, greeting all present and thanking them for their time. What the event was to be about was also informed to the Police personnel present.
It also being the occasion of Rakshabandhan the girls tied rakhis to the male personnel. While the women personnel were felicitated with gifts by the boys. All the students sought the blessings of the personnel. Scholarship letters offering short term skill development courses at Suryadatta Group of Institutes were given to all the police personnel. They were encouraged to take up any course of their interest, so that they could enhance their credentials.
Towards the end, Dr. Chordiya spoke to the students about the role of the police in our society. Dr. Chordiya also stressed on the students, the importance of following the norms set by the police for the welfare of us citizens; and spreading this message to all.
The event ended with a vote of thanks by Piyush Bannerjee to the Police Chief and all the personnel for taking the time out for us and giving us the opportunity to felicitate them. And a special thank you to Dr. Chordiya for organizing this wonderful event for the students.
