Symbiosis ELTIS, the English Language Teaching Institute of Symbiosis (ELTIS) is hosting a 5-day international teacher training programme from Monday, August 6 to August 10, 2018. It will be held at ELTIS, Model Colony, Pune.
The programme will be inaugurated by Dr. Bhama Venkataramani, Dean: Academics and Administration, SIU. Symbiosis International (Deemed) University is one of the seven partner universities in this Erasmus+ co-funded project called CLIL@India. It promotes a new teaching methodology namely Content and Language Integrated Learning.
The programme has received an overwhelming response from schools in and around Pune. Teachers from 15 schools have registered. Resource persons from the partner universities from Spain and Latvia along with those from Punjab, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu and Symbiosis, Pune will train these in-service teachers.
Symbiosis ELTIS hopes that this training will promote a new methodology in schools to help enhance students’ knowledge of the core subjects as well as a second or foreign language.
