New Delhi: Team Director of Indian cricket team, Ravi Shastri feels that veteran all-rounder Yuvraj Singh, who has been ruled out of the ICC World Twenty20 due to an injury, will be missed.
India suffered a big blow ahead of the semi-final clash against West Indies in the form of Yuvi, who was replaced by Manish Pandey for the rest of the tourney on Wednesday.
“Yuvraj’s injury will have an impact, he will be missed,” Shastri told ANI ahead of the all important match on March 31 at Wankhede Stadium, Mumbai.
While talking about Chris Gayle, who is the key player for West Indies, former Indian all-rounder said that Indian bowlers will target the swashbuckling opener.
“All our bowlers will target him Chris Gayle,” added 53-year-old Shastri.
Shastri also hailed premier Indian batsman Virat Kohli for his stupendous knock against Australia.
“Was one of the best innings you will ever see in T20 cricket-Ravi Shastri on Virat Kohli’s innings against Australia.”
