India proposed an Annual India–Australia Skills Meet to Drive Harmonised Standards

NEW DELHI: As part of the 3rd Australia–India Education and Skills Council (AIESC) Meeting in New Delhi, India and Australia convened a substantive bilateral dialogue to advance cooperation in skills development, workforce mobility, and the rapidly growing sports economy. The bilateral meeting was co-chaired by Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship & Minister of State for Education, and Hon. Andrew Giles MP, Minister for Skills & Training, Commonwealth of Australia.

The deliberations acknowledged the strong upward trajectory in India–Australia relations and reinforced the need to translate this momentum into well-structured pathways for the movement of skilled professionals. Both sides agreed to accelerate the operationalisation of the Mutual Recognition of Qualifications (MRQ) mechanism and to co-design bridge courses that align competencies and facilitate seamless mobility. Particular emphasis was laid on preparing skilled workers for global standards in advanced construction, given Australia’s infrastructure expansion ahead of major sporting events.

A key element of the discussions revolved around the strategic opportunities emerging from India’s bid for the 2030 Commonwealth Games and Australia’s hosting of the 2032 Brisbane Olympics and Paralympics. The sports and physical wellness sector was collectively recognised as a sunrise industry with significant employment prospects and potential to contribute nearly 2% to India’s GDP. Australia’s global leadership in sports management, sports technology was identified as a complementary strength to India’s expanding sports manufacturing and gig-economy landscape.

Further collaboration was proposed between India’s skilling institutions — including ITIs and National Skill Training Institutes (NSTIs) — and Australia’s TAFE network, with joint work expected in areas spanning mining, digital and IT skills, hospitality, green jobs, renewable energy, and logistics.

Shri Jayant Chaudhary also underlined India’s commitment to future-oriented skills under the Skilling for AI Readiness (SOAR) initiative, along with the importance of joint ethical frameworks and standards for digital adoption. The ministers agreed that responsible and high-quality workforce mobility must guide bilateral cooperation going forward.

Speaking on the occasion, Shri Jayant Chaudhary stated, “India and Australia are natural partners in shaping the global workforce of the future. By strengthening pathways, aligning standards, and leveraging each other’s sectoral strengths, we can enable youth to access global opportunities while supporting dynamic industry needs in both our economies. I also propose that we establish an annual India-Australia Skills Meet, held alternately in India and Australia. This platform can drive harmonisation and equivalence in selected skills, deepen institutional partnerships, and keep our training ecosystems aligned with industry needs in both countries.”

“Australia is one of India’s most important partners in this space. We also explored new avenues in sports-related skilling ahead of major global events, including joint training, curriculum development, and industry partnerships,” he further added.

Hon. Andrew Giles MP remarked that Australia deeply values its partnership with India, and as our nations prepare for major sporting and economic milestones, skills cooperation will play a vital role in ensuring shared prosperity and measurable impact for our people.

The meeting witnessed participation from senior officials of MSDE, the Directorate General of Training, NCVET, NSDC, and representatives from the Australian Department of Education and its Skills and Training agencies.

The bilateral session concluded with a shared resolve to maintain high-level engagement and fast-track collaborative models that enhance training quality, strengthen global mobility, and contribute to building future-ready skill ecosystems in both countries.

VTP Realty received this prestigious accolade for its distinguished body of work in health, safety, and environment in residential real estate.

PUNE: In a moment of pride that resonates with this deeply held philosophy, VTP Realty has been honoured with the 16th CIDC Vishwakarma Award for Excellence in Construction, Health, Safety, and Environment. This accolade for its landmark projects, VTP Bellissimo and VTP Sierra, in Pune, is more than an award; it is a powerful validation of the brand’s unwavering commitment to creating not just beautiful homes but healthier and safer ecosystems that nurture every aspect of life.

Following a meticulous evaluation process and on-ground inspection by the jury panel, the honour was conferred upon VTP Realty by the Board of Governors of the Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) under the category of ‘Health, Safety and Environment’. The recognition was awarded for the developer’s exemplary practices demonstrated at VTP Bellissimo, Hinjewadi Phase 1, and VTP Sierra, Pashan-Sus Baner Road, both benchmark residential developments in Pune. These projects stood out among national entries for their well-integrated health and safety measures, environmentally conscious planning, and commitment to holistic community living.

The Construction Industry Development Council (CIDC) advises the government on policy, standardises contracts, trains skilled and managerial manpower, and grades construction entities. This quasi-government organisation followed a stipulated method of scrutiny to announce VTP Realty as the winner. Upon nomination every real estate contender is required to share detailed presentations on sustainability measures undertaken, which is then audited by an experienced jury representing different government bodies and verified in presence of senior management of every real estate brand on various technical aspects such as green construction rules, project completion status, quality control, design, and related matters. This is followed by a surprise audit inspection, in which detailed scrutiny is done on-site. Acing at every level, VTP Realty stood victorious in this five-month-long, pan-India selection procedure amid top national players.

Speaking about the achievement, Sachin Bhandari, Executive Director & CEO of VTP Realty, said, “This award from CIDC is a proud moment that reflects our relentless commitment towards responsible and future-ready development. This recognition reinforces our pursuit of building thoughtful spaces that enrich lives while upholding the highest standards of safety, health, and construction excellence.”

This prestigious honour from CIDC stands as a powerful testament to VTP Realty’s relentless pursuit of excellence across every facet of real estate development. Today, VTP Realty is not only recognised as Pune’s undisputed leader in the real estate industry but is also celebrated among the top real estate developers in India. With a sharp focus on innovation and customer-centric design, VTP Realty consistently sets new industry benchmarks. As the brand continues to shape Pune’s skyline with iconic developments and reimagine luxury living, it remains committed to building vibrant communities that inspire pride and elevate the lifestyles of the customers.

PUNE: Godrej Properties Ltd. (GPL), one of India’s leading real estate developers, has unveiled India’s first 3D-printed G+1 villa at Godrej Eden Estate, Maan Hinjewadi, Pune in association with Tvasta Engineering. Leveraging cutting-edge 3D printing technology, the company has achieved a significant milestone to set new benchmarks in design, efficiency, and sustainability and marks a transformative moment for the real estate industry.

The villa, constructed using additive manufacturing techniques, demonstrates the potential of 3D printing in revolutionizing home construction. The project, which commenced in June 2024, was completed in just four months, underscoring the speed and efficiency of 3D printing in construction. By employing computer-generated designs, the structure was built layer by layer with specialized materials, significantly reducing construction time, material waste, and labor costs, while ensuring precision and durability. This architectural innovation blends modern aesthetics with sustainable design, introducing elements that redefine contemporary living spaces.

Key Features of the 3D-Printed Villa:

The villa’s organic and fluid form, shaped using advanced algorithms, enhances both structural integrity and visual appeal.

A striking architectural feature that maximizes natural light reduces energy consumption and creates an expansive, open feel.

Replacing conventional straight staircases, this sculptural element adds an artistic and dynamic touch to the home’s interior.

Inspired by nature, the villa’s flowing lines seamlessly integrate with its surroundings, fostering a sense of harmony and well-being.

A signature of 3D-printed architecture, the layered exterior pattern showcases the precision of the technology, lending the structure a unique and futuristic aesthetic.

This achievement sets the stage for wider adoption of 3D printing in Indian real estate, paving the way for smarter, more sustainable cities. By integrating advanced design principles with environmentally conscious construction, Godrej Properties continues to redefine modern living and shape the future of housing in India.

Commenting on the milestone, Vikas Singhal, Chief Operating Officer, of Godrej Properties, said, “At Godrej Properties, we are committed to pushing the boundaries of innovation, and sustainability in real estate. The unveiling of India’s first 3D-printed villa at Godrej Eden Estate is a testament to our vision of pioneering futuristic, efficient, and eco-friendly construction methods. 3D printing has the potential to transform homebuilding by making it faster, more precise, significantly more sustainable, and incorporates energy-efficient features that reduce the project’s environmental impact.
CREDAI President Boman R Irani shares his thoughts “Indian Real Estate today stands at an extremely important junction amidst India’s journey to become a developed economy by 2047. Due to its strong multiplier effect coupled with robust real estate demand – for both housing and commercial – the sector is bound to play a critical role in multiplying GDP value and increasing revenues, and per capita incomes that will aid further growth as a part of a self-sustaining cycle due to ever-increasing consumption. As India’s leading real estate body, we look forward to working closely with all stakeholders involved to ensure a seamless path towards achieving our collective mission of becoming a fully developed economy.”

CREDAI Chairman Manoj Gaur shares his remarks “As the premier body of Indian Real Estate, we feel extremely proud at what we’ve achieved as an industry – and are even more excited at the potential that this sector currently holds as the primary economic engine of this country. To achieve Viksit Bharat, Real Estate is going to be at the nucleus of growth which is also validated by the recent sheer volume that has coincided with strong QoQ GDP numbers. Moving forward – real estate again is going to play a pivotal role as India strives to multiply its economy.”

CREDAI President Elect Shekhar G Patel says “Currently, India is witnessing significant GDP growth despite global headwinds which is a testament to our economic and sectoral resilience. The entire real estate industry is extremely excited to build on this strong platform and re-emphasizes the importance of a facilitating eco-system that supports all concerned stakeholders, for not just the sustained and sustainable growth of the industry but the entire economy. Through our findings, we have devised a roadmap of Indian Real Estate’s contribution towards Viksit Bharat as we jointly work towards achieving the feat.”
