<p><strong>PUNE: </strong>Jawa Yezdi Motorcycles marked Maharashtra Day on the road, in association with its newest dealership in Pune. Riders from the Jawa Yezdi riding community took to the streets of Pune in traditional attire for a celebratory rally, bringing together the city’s deep-rooted motorcycling culture and the colours and character of the state. Opening the city’s ninth dealership, the company takes its Maharashtra footprint to 35 outlets, strengthening its presence in its largest market.</p>



<p>The Maharashtra Day ride was anchored in the community. Over 150 riders from NJYOC (New Jawa Yezdi Owners Club) joined the celebratory city ride that started from the newly opened dealership to Shaniwar Wada. With Pune being one of the brand’s most vibrant centres of rider activity, the rally reflected the cultural pride instinctive to the region. The city’s long-standing love for the Jawa and Yezdi brands is being renewed by a new generation that is discovering these performance classics on its own terms. The city is home to several active Kommunitis (Jawa Yezdi riding clubs), speaking to the depth of engagement on the ground.</p>

<p>The latest facility, strategically located at Katraj, Ambegaon, along the bustling NH-4 corridor, sits at the heart of one of Pune’s key automotive hubs. This 6,500 sq. ft. showroom can display 6 vehicles together and is designed to provide a holistic customer experience, offering Mahindra’s full range of Passenger Vehicles (ICE &amp; EV). With a modern colour palette, dramatic lighting, intuitive technology, and seamless interaction, every element of the space in the dealership showroom is crafted to evoke a sense of progressive design, intelligent innovation, and refined elegance. <p>With this launch, PPS Motors further strengthens its extensive footprint in India as the group now operates <strong>137 Mahindra touchpoints</strong> in <strong>six states – Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Kerala, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu.</strong> In FY 2025 alone, the group sold over <strong>37,000 Mahindra vehicles</strong>, underscoring its position as Mahindra’s largest sales and after-sales partner in India.</p>



<h3 class="wp-block-heading"><strong>PPS Motors – Scaling Ambitions in Pune</strong></h3>



<p><strong>The Katraj dealership marks PPS Motors’ 8<sup>th</sup> Mahindra touchpoint in Pune</strong>, comprising 7 showrooms and 1 workshop. Having entered the Pune market in July 2024, the group has already <strong>sold over 2,500 Mahindra vehicles in the city in under a year</strong>. With a robust expansion plan in place, <strong>PPS Motors aims to add 3 more showrooms and 2 workshops,</strong> taking the total to 13 Mahindra touchpoints in the Pune region. With this enhanced presence, the company is targeting to double its annual sales from Pune to 4,500 to 5,000 vehicles, with an estimated revenue of Rs. <strong>800 &#8211; 1,000 crore</strong> in the next one year.</p>

<p><strong>WISCONSIN:</strong> The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) has fined three auto dealerships in Rhinelander, Wisconsin $1.1 million for overcharging American Indians based on their race and appearance. The dealerships were found to have charged American Indians hundreds or even thousands of dollars more in costs than non-Latino White customers. The dealerships also added charges for <a href="https://consumer.ftc.gov/now-leaving?external_url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3Db2QoskYNmeA&amp;back_url=https%3A%2F%2Fconsumer.ftc.gov%2Fconsumer-alerts%2F2023%2F10%2Fovercharging-car-buyers-based-how-they-look-thats-illegal-0%3Futm_source%3Dgovdelivery">add-ons</a> like optional gap insurance policies and <a href="https://consumer.ftc.gov/articles/auto-warranties-service-contracts#Service">service plans</a> that were spread over time, making it difficult for customers to spot. In some cases, the dealerships falsely told their buyers that the add-ons were required to buy or finance the car.</p>



<p>The Rhinelander dealerships and their general manager have been ordered to stop these discriminatory and illegal practices and pay $1.1 million to reimburse customers who paid hundreds or even thousands of dollars more in financing costs and add-on charges. The FTC warns car buyers to watch out for financing mark-ups and unwanted add-ons. Dealership financing often comes with marked-up interest rates, so it&#8217;s important to shop around for financing. Start with banks, credit unions, and other financing companies. Get pre-approved and use that offer to negotiate with the dealer.</p>



<p>It&#8217;s also important to read the sales contract and financing agreement carefully. Make sure the terms you agreed on match what is in the contract. Get answers about any extra fees you don&#8217;t recognize or want. If you&#8217;re not getting what was promised, you don&#8217;t have to take the deal. Walk away if you&#8217;re not satisfied.</p>

<p><strong>PUNE:</strong> Tata Motors authorized dealerships have deployed the EzServe program in Pune. EzServe is a two-wheeler-based service, designed to provide customers with a safe and convenient experience at their doorstep. EzServe offers numerous benefits, including basic service, quick repairs, and issue resolution at the customer&#8217;s preferred location. The dealerships – Garve Cars and Devaki Motors LLP &#8211; have deployed two EzServe bikes in Pune, offering home visits, minor running repairs, outstation check-up camps, breakdown attention, vehicle sanitization, and foam wash. This program has benefitted more than 2500 customers in the city since April 2023.</p>



<p>This innovative service aims to save customers time and effort fostering customer delight. The EzServe kit is meticulously designed, taking into account motor vehicle regulatory norms, variability, and manufacturing feasibility. Each EzServe unit is equipped with a comprehensive kit containing specific items required for service and repair jobs on vehicles the unit consists of three utility boxes mounted on the bike&#8217;s rear, made of Fibre Reinforced Plastic (FRP). These boxes are packed with spare parts, fresh lubes, other consumables, a vacuum cleaner, an eco-wash kit, a jack &amp; jack stand, and various hand tools.</p>



<p>Tata Motors dealerships train their in-house technicians for EzServe. These technicians receive training from Diagnosis Expert Technicians (DET) to enhance their technical knowledge and from Customer Relations Managers (CRM) to improve their soft skills. The duration and content of the training course are determined based on the candidates&#8217; skill matrix. An EzServe bike is operated by a Senior Technician and supported by a Senior Advisor (SA) and CRM.</p>



<p>To further enhance customer convenience, Tata Motors has digitized the process of registering repair orders at workshops. The workshops promptly respond to customer queries, provide cost estimates, and utilize the Service Connect App to relay real-time data to the concerned after-sales teams. The app offers contactless service support, allowing customers to avail of online services such as booking, vehicle pick-up requests, and repair estimates for scheduled and frequent jobs.</p>



<p>Once a service request is booked, the dealership contacts the customer to confirm the service and assigns a technician accordingly. The technician arrives at the location on the scheduled day, conducts a thorough check of the vehicle, and performs a test run with the customer to ensure all necessary services are identified. The technician adheres to all safety protocols while servicing the vehicle, ensuring that the bike is well-maintained and regularly inspected for engine oil, filters, tire pressures, brakes, mirrors, and lights.</p>



<p>After the service, if required, the vehicle is washed and wiped clean using a dry wash kit and then handed over to the customer. Seeking customer feedback is a vital aspect of the process, and a detailed feedback and satisfaction form is collected from each customer.</p>
