Multidisciplinary, under-one-roof support helps children build speech, sensory, learning, and behavioural skills while guiding families on the next right steps.

PUNE: Walnut Child Development Clinics, a Pune-headquartered network of child development centres founded in 2019, is urging parents to replace “wait and watch” with “early checks” when they notice small but repeated developmental concerns. Many challenges begin quietly, then become harder for the child and family as school demands increase and daily routines get more complex. A simple screening or early assessment can help families understand whether a child is within typical developmental variation, needs monitoring, or would benefit from timely support.

Walnut Clinics recommends a basic check-up when parents notice repeated developmental concerns. These may include late talking, unclear speech, limited eye contact, difficulty following instructions, frequent meltdowns, or short attention span. Other signs can include clumsiness, sensory sensitivities (noise, touch, or textures), feeding challenges, delays in play skills, or struggles with pre-academic readiness. Early action can reduce frustration for the child, bring clarity to caregivers, and make home and school support more structured and doable.

Walnut Clinics offers integrated care through a coordinated team of certified Occupational Therapists, Speech Therapists, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Special Educators, and Behavioural Therapists, working together under one roof. Services include early screening and assessments, speech therapy, fluency and voice therapy, occupational therapy, sensory integration therapy, behavioural therapy, remedial education, paediatric physiotherapy, parent counselling, and group therapy/support sessions. The clinics commonly support children with autism, ADHD, speech delay, learning disabilities, sensory processing concerns, and developmental delays.

“Parents often tell us they were hoping their child would ‘grow out of it,” said Dr. Chanchal Agrawal, Founder & Clinical Director, Walnut Child Development Clinics. “Sometimes that happens, but when it doesn’t, the child may start feeling ‘I can’t’ long before anyone says it out loud. An early screening isn’t about labels; it’s about clarity on what’s typical, what needs watching, and what we can begin strengthening right away.”

“Walnut was built on one simple belief: families shouldn’t have to run from one specialist to another for answers,” said the Founding Team at Walnut Child Development Clinics. “When professionals collaborate, speech, occupational therapy, psychology, special education, and behaviour support, parents get a clearer roadmap, children get consistent goals, and progress becomes visible not just in the clinic, but at home and in the classroom.”

Walnut’s programmes focus on functional, measurable skills, including communication, attention, play, self-care, handwriting readiness, motor planning, emotional regulation, and classroom participation, with a strong focus on a holistic approach that supports the child across home, school, and social environments. Therapy plans are personalised, reviewed at regular intervals, and designed to be parent-friendly so families can practice strategies confidently at home, and schools can align support where needed.

With 5,000+ families served, Walnut Child Development Clinics currently operates in Kharadi, Fatima Nagar, Tingre Nagar, PCMC, and Baramati. Appointments are available for in-clinic evaluations, therapy programmes,s and parent guidance sessions.

PNB Housing’s affordable housing solution, Roshni Home Loans, caters to low- and middle-income households aspiring to begin their homeownership journey, particularly in semi-urban and emerging regions of the country. Maharashtra remains a key growth region, supported by a strong network of 47 branches, including 25 dedicated Roshni branches. The company also offers tailored solutions for the informal and self-employed segments through its affordable housing and emerging markets lending solutions, thus widening the reach of housing finance beyond traditional income documentation.

Commenting on the Company’s direction, Jatul Anand, Executive Director, PNB Housing Finance, said: “We deeply appreciate the Government’s visionary initiatives like PMAY-U 2.0, which have transformed the housing landscape and brought people closer to their dream of home ownership. Maharashtra has emerged as one of our most promising growth centres, and we are proud to support the mission of simplifying access to home loans for consumers here. We remain committed to driving financial inclusion by creating awareness among citizens about the PMAY-U 2.0 scheme and enabling interest subsidy benefits, thus contributing to the larger goal of nation-building and Viksit Bharat.”

To amplify awareness and encourage adoption of PMAY-U 2.0, PNB Housing Finance will intensify mass-outreach campaigns across Maharashtra, including interactive sessions in semi-urban districts and targeted programmes for listed beneficiaries.
CHENNAI: Ensono, a leading managed services provider (MSP) focused on IT modernization and innovation, announced plans to invest US$250 million (INR 2,207 crore) in AI development over the next five years in addition to launching the Ensono AI & Innovation Division, marking a key milestone in its AI roadmap. This new division brings together innovators across engineering, data science, business analysis, and software development to drive customer value through cutting-edge innovation.

“At Ensono, AI is no longer a tool; it’s the engine through which we deliver value to our clients, and the operating system we use to run our business. We are witnessing an unprecedented acceleration in the adoption of AI across industries, reshaping how businesses operate and deliver value. This investment reflects our commitment to harnessing AI’s transformative potential to drive innovation, efficiency, and meaningful human impact. By deepening our AI capabilities, we aim to create solutions that not only empower enterprises but also enhance everyday experiences for people around the world,” said Jim Piazza, Chief AI Officer, Ensono. “This new organization allows us to build upon the transformational work we are already delivering to our clients and associates.”

AI is rapidly transforming managed services, and Ensono’s strategic adoption is already delivering results for the company and its clients. Ensono’s Envision Predictive Engine (EPE) proactively prevents failures across hardware, operating systems, applications, and networks. Since its launch, EPE has achieved a 22% reduction in major incidents and a 50% reduction in incidents’ mean time to resolution (MTTR). Complementing EPE, Ensono’s DiagnoseNow enables Ensono’s teams to quickly identify and address problems, keeping client operations running smoothly. When DiagnoseNow is used to troubleshoot, incidents are resolved in less than half the time they normally require.

“The days of watching a console and reacting to an outage event are over. Our global associates now anticipate issues before they occur and take proactive steps to prevent major incidents,” said Piazza. “We’re redefining what it means to be a service provider, fundamentally shifting how we work with clients by leveraging insights at scale to deliver predictive support.”

When one of Ensono’s clients experienced a processing delay in a business-critical system, Ensono’s team identified the issue early, minimizing downtime and disruption. The team promptly determined the root cause, implemented a rapid fix, and restored full functionality with zero impact to operations. In another instance, Ensono proactively detected a critical system issue for a leading automotive manufacturer and resolved it before it could result in operational disruption.

In addition to Envision Predictive Engine and DiagnoseNow, Ensono is strategically implementing AI for its associates. Ensono developed EnsoAI, a secure AI platform leveraging several large language models that empower associates to draft content, expedite processes, and collaborate more efficiently. After strong adoption of their initial LLM, the company doubled down, recently rolling out a version that allows associates to create agents to automate work and leveraging prompt libraries to encourage teamwork, collaboration, and sharing of best practices as the teams adopt AI as a teammate to help drive quality and efficiency in everything they do.

Ensono’s commitment to strategic, responsible AI adoption is further strengthened by its collaboration with Snowflake, the AI Data Cloud company. Through this collaboration, Ensono established a robust data foundation by centralizing terabytes of data from ITSM platforms, system logs, and network telemetry within Snowflake’s fully managed, governed, and secure environment. This single source of truth empowers Ensono’s innovative solutions, EPE and DiagnoseNow, to effectively leverage Snowflake’s advanced analytics, machine learning, and AI capabilities.

“Since building its platform on Snowflake AI Data Cloud, Ensono has been able to achieve remarkable business outcomes for Ensono’s clients and its own operators, enabling the organization to evolve into a modern-day Managed Service Provider,” said Abhi Saini, Manager of Product Management, Snowflake. “With this new division, Ensono will be able to bring together its talented innovators to power future AI projects on Snowflake to drive customer value more quickly.”

ALGIERS: The Islamic Corporation for the Insurance of Investment and Export Credit (ICIEC), a Shariah-based multilateral insurer and member of the Islamic Development Bank (IsDB) Group, closed the IsDB Group Annual Meetings in Algiers (19‑22 May 2025) on a high note, finalising 9 agreements and Memoranda of Understanding (MoU) valued at more than USD 700 million.

Concluded under the Annual Meeting theme “Diversifying Economies, Enriching Lives,” the signings reinforce ICIEC’s role as a catalyst for trade and investment across its 50 Member States. They cover a wide spectrum of strategic sectors, including food‑security supply chains, reinsurance, trade finance, energy, transport, infrastructure, and investment promotion—illustrating the breadth of the Corporation’s mandate to de‑risk development projects with Shariah‑compliant insurance and reinsurance solutions.

Highlights include an inward quota‑share treaty with Algeria’s CAGEX that supports Algerian exports; partnership frameworks with Nigeria’s NEXIM Bank; and Non‑Honouring of Financial Obligations policies, backing more than EUR 518 million of structured financings arranged by Standard Chartered. These policies secure projects such as Côte d’Ivoire’s landmark Tour F government complex, Türkiye’s Nakkaş‑Başakşehir Motorway, and financing to the Eastern and Southern Africa Trade Development Bank (TDB) to support developmental projects in common member countries. A USD 40 million insurance cover supports dredging works at Oman’s expanding Sohar Port. Two insurance policies were signed with Al Baraka Bank Egypt to support funded and unfunded trade finance transactions to the tune of USD 100 million.

Held within the 13th Private Sector Forum, ICIEC’s High‑Level Panel Discussion—“Unlocking Trade Potential among Africa, Arab Countries, and Algeria: The Role of Risk‑Mitigation Tools in Promoting Trade and Investment” convened roughly 300 high‑profile participants, including senior Algerian officials, C‑suite executives from regional and international companies, investors, and representatives of trade‑promotion agencies and development finance institutions. The session positioned Algeria as a strategic bridge between the Arab world and Africa while demonstrating how Shariah‑compliant risk‑management instruments can unlock cross‑border capital and accelerate sustainable development across member states.

Dr. Khalid Khalafalla, CEO of ICIEC, said: “These agreements epitomise ICIEC’s mission: turning risk into opportunity so our Member States can diversify their economies, fortify food and energy security, and unlock sustainable growth. By providing more than USD 700 million in Shariah‑compliant insurance and forging new partnerships with leading export‑credit agencies, we are extending ICIEC’s cumulative development impact—already over USD 121 billion in insured trade and investment—while directly supporting the Sustainable Development Goals.”

The Transformative Journey of Dantewada through the Sachin Tendulkar Foundation and Mann Deshi Foundation

CHHATTISGARH: In the remote corners of Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, where shadows of a dark past and volatile present loom over the villagers, Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF) and the Mann Deshi Foundation are ushering in a new dawn. Coordinated efforts, with support from the district administration, are helping shape a sports-empowered future for children, one maidan at a time.

Sachin Tendulkar Foundation (STF), committed to empowering children through sports, in partnership with the Mann Deshi Foundation, has introduced the Maidan Cup Competition, to give underprivileged children a platform to perform. For this competition, a total of 50 playgrounds across 50 participating villages across the Dantewada district are being carved out of barren lands. Already in action, the initiative is coming to fruition with active support from the District Collectors Mayank Chaturvedi, Kunal Dudawat, and the villagers.

For villagers long affected by naxalism, their children getting some scope and exposure for development through sports is a promising start in their overall stride towards a better future. Over 10,000 children are going to benefit from this initiative, with a projected 40% participation from girls, signalling a paradigm shift in girl child empowerment and gender equality. The broader impact of the Maidan Cup is aimed at reducing the crime rates in conflict zones by around 20% through sports programmes. With zeal and a unified spirit from all involved, including the villagers, a grassroots revolution is about to take shape in the conflict-ridden corners of Dantewada.

Through the Maidan Cup initiative, 50 villages in Dantewada, Chhattisgarh, are transforming open areas into lively playgrounds—secure places where more than 10,000 children can play, develop, and aspire without boundaries. This effort goes beyond merely constructing playgrounds. It’s about creating a future brimming with hope and possibilities, particularly for girls, who are increasingly taking to the field in unprecedented numbers.

Objectives of the Maidan Cup initiative:

10,000 children will benefit directly.

50 playgrounds are being created in 2 months

20% potential drop in crime rates

40% rise in girls’ participation in sports

ZF’s largest Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) product development hub outside Europe, focused on building the SCALAR fleet orchestration platform for commercial vehicles and other innovative digital solutions.

The hub drives end-to-end product development, integrating product management, design, and engineering to create high-impact SaaS products.

With a strong emphasis on AI, data science, cloud, and mobile technologies, the teams are developing next-generation mobility (or fleet) solutions for a global market.

BENGALURU: ZF Group, a global leader in mobility technology, inaugurated its new product development hub for SCALAR, ZF’s fleet orchestration Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform, in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India. The hub will provide enhanced support for fleet managers in India using SCALAR to optimize their commercial vehicle operations through fully automatic and live planning, routing, scheduling, and dispatching solutions. The facility will bring ZF’s SCALAR teams closer to customers in India, helping to reinforce ZF’s end-to-end product responsibility approach. The teams will be responsible for developing cloud, data, AI, and mobile technologies to deliver next-generation fleet management solutions.

The product development teams based in this office will work on the industry’s first comprehensive fleet orchestration solution: SCALAR. What sets this office hub apart is its end-to-end product responsibility: the teams own the complete product areas with product management, UX/UI design, and engineering responsibilities —they are directly building and evolving the SCALAR platform to tailor its extensive capabilities to the needs of fleet operators.

This digital hub currently connects over 150,000 vehicles on SCALAR in India, tracking vehicles and providing real-time insights to increase safety and optimize vehicular efficiency.

“The ZF Bengaluru office is where talented teams will work on end-to-end solutions offered as a part of our SCALAR platform for connected mobility. This office will develop solutions that will shape the future of transportation with technological advancements, while delivering value to our customers worldwide,” said Akash Passey, President ZF Group in India.

“This is our largest digital development hub outside Europe. This hub not only signifies our expanding engineering footprint, but it also symbolizes the acceleration of our innovation and agility,” said P. Kaniappan, SVP, Div CVS (India), ZF Group

“With SCALAR, we are shaping the future of fleet management. Our new Bengaluru hub brings together engineers, data scientists, designers, and product leaders to turn unique vehicle data into real-world solutions,” said Hjalmar Van Raemdonck, VP SCALAR. “With end-to-end ownership, our teams develop technology that seamlessly integrates vehicle intelligence with fleet operations, making a real impact across the industry.”

From large-scale AI and data engineering to analytics, cloud, and mobile technologies, the teams drive the full global product innovation. Around 250 employees will be based in this office, working on domestic and global projects. As a serverless office, this development hub will enable the SCALAR teams to provide cost-efficient solutions, increasing agility, and enabling innovation.

Spread over 33300 sq. ft, the Digital office is the first such office for ZF Group in the country. The SCALAR platform enhances reliability levels by providing actionable insights into vehicle performance, predictive maintenance, and driver behaviour, helping to increase productivity, avoid unplanned downtime, and improve overall fleet management.
