INDIA: IndiGo, India’s preferred airline, has launched its limited-period sale, ‘Splash into Savings’, enabling customers to plan and travel more affordably on select domestic and international routes. The sale will be open for bookings from 24 February to 27 February 2026, for travel from 3 March to 30 September 2026. The offer is valid for bookings made at least seven days before departure and applies to non-stop and connecting flights across all booking channels.

As part of the ‘Splash into Savings’ sale, customers can book all-inclusive one-way domestic fares starting at ₹1,999 and international fares starting at ₹4,699. IndiGoStretch fares, offering added comfort on select domestic routes, are also available from ₹9,999*.

In addition to special fares, IndiGo is offering attractive discounts on select ancillary services during the sale period. Customers can enjoy up to 70% off on select 6E Add-ons, including Fast Forward services, up to 50% off on pre-paid excess baggage, and up to 15% off on standard seat selection across select domestic and international sectors. ₹500 on select domestic routes. Further, infants aged 0–24 months can travel for just ₹1 on domestic sectors when bookings are made through IndiGo’s direct channels.

MUMBAI: Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd. (M&M Ltd.), one of India’s leading automotive companies, today announced that its overall auto sales for April 2024 stood at 70,471 vehicles, a growth of 13%, including exports.

In the Utility Vehicles segment, Mahindra sold 41,008 vehicles in the domestic market, a growth of 18%, and overall, 41,542 vehicles, including exports. The domestic sales for Commercial Vehicles stood at 22,102.

According to Veejay Nakra, President, of the Automotive Division, M&M Ltd., “We sold a total of 41,008 SUVs in April, a growth of 18% and 70,471 total vehicles, a 13% growth over last year. In April, we launched the XUV 3XO, tailored to a broad spectrum of customers across categories. With a unique blend of innovation, safety, comfort, performance, and price starting at INR 7.49lakhs, the XUV3XO is set to be the new disrupter in the compact SUV space.”

Bookings for the codeshare flights are being opened across points of sale, for travel starting 27 September 2023. The codeshare implementation enables Air India guests to connect seamlessly on AIX Connect’s route network to and from over 80 points across Air India’s extensive domestic and international network.

The scope of the agreement between the two airlines enables guests to receive their boarding passes at the first point of departure for all the travel sectors on a single ticket and have their baggage checked in through to their final destinations. Guests connecting from international to domestic flights will, however, need to clear customs at the first point of entry in India, in line with government regulations.

AIX Connect will honor the free baggage allowance mentioned on tickets issued by Air India. Air India guests connecting to flights operated by AIX Connect will also be able to enjoy complimentary meals on board.

With the implementation of the codeshare agreement, Air India has expanded its domestic route network to four new destinations in India, namely Bagdogra, Bhubaneswar, Ranchi, and Surat, in addition to the common destinations between the two airlines’ route networks. Customers from these originating cities will be able to connect to Air India’s wide international network over hubs in Delhi and Mumbai.

The codeshare agreement also enables AIX Connect to leverage Air India’s global distribution network, via the airline’s direct channels as well as its global travel agency network.

AIX Connect is a 100% subsidiary of Air India, which is in the process of being integrated with Air India Express (another 100% subsidiary of Air India) to ultimately form a single low-cost carrier within the Tata group’s airline business.

Air India is navigating through a major five-year transformation roadmap under the aegis of Vihaan.AI, with an ambition to become a world-class airline with an Indian heart. The first phase of this transformation, the taxi phase, was recently concluded and focused on fixing the basics. The Unaccompanied Minor service can be booked on the airline’s website, airindiaexpress.com, or airport sales counters at a starting price of [?]5,000. Young flyers will be welcomed personally by the airline staff at the terminal before the airport security checks and assisted throughout all the regulated travel formalities at the airport. A valid photo identification document for both the child and the parent or guardian is required at departure and arrival for verification, and the parent or guardian is required to accompany the child to the airport and arrive at least 2 hours before the scheduled departure for domestic flights.

On arrival, airline staff will accompany and assist the child through the airport arrival process until they are safely reunited with their parent or guardian. The Unaccompanied Minor services are the latest in a host of integrated product and service offerings extended by Air India Express and AIX Connect in the run-up to their merger.
