Since the journey takes at least 20 days to reach the consignments there, exporters should not consider fast perishable items. Instead, they should opt for products having a shelf life of at least six months or a year. Our Adil Group has earned a reputation for providing pure, hygienic, and authentic food products. Nowadays, health consciousness is on the rise, and customers prefer organic food. Recently, we started selling Khapali, a nutritious variety of wheat under our Peacock brand, and the response was overwhelming. Exporters should keep the packaging of their products secure and tamper-proof. If they provide natural, chemical-free, adulteration-free, and healthy products, they will surely get a considerable profit. The laws and policies of Gulf countries are stringent, and adulteration, cheating, harm to consumers, and the supply of unhygienic products are never tolerated. So, the exporters should adhere to strict discipline before they export.”

Dhananjay Datar further said, “Indian entrepreneurs have huge opportunities for growth, export, and expansion in the global market shortly. The Indian economy is on a fast track, and a lot of major infrastructure development work is underway. One of the notable examples is the upcoming Wadhwan International Port in Maharashtra. In a decade, Mumbai will have 2 international ports and 2 international airports. The rising connectivity between these ports and the rest of the country will surely benefit the exporters, but they have to take advantage of this development well in time. Two new ports and a pipeline will build on the success of the $5.6 billion Oman-India Multi-Purpose Pipeline and $2 billion Karnataka LNG FSRU, enhancing energy connectivity and generating $434 million annually from investments in 46 companies.

Fox Construction Group announced a landmark deal, monetizing a 430-acre township in Maharashtra for ₹714 crores (approximately USD 85 million), and is preparing to subcontract civil amenities for Australia’s Goulburn project. The division’s work value is projected to reach $2 billion over the next two years, with projects spanning Australia, South Africa, the UAE, and India, including an Industrial Logistics Park near Jewar Airport in collaboration with a German contractor.

In media, Fox Global Times India will lead global operations, ensuring journalistic integrity and legal compliance. Strategic alliances with a Russian news channel and a Malaysian network are in advanced stages to bolster Fox Global Times UAE. Dr. Kumar emphasized a commitment to ethical media, stating, “We must stand as a transparent, resilient institution, rising above controversy.”

PATNA: Kavin Khanna, a 17-year-old, Dubai-based student from Jumeirah College, has partnered with KCS Foundation India to launch the Skill Leap Project—a transformative digital literacy initiative that has already empowered over 2,700 underprivileged students in rural Bihar. The project aims to bridge the digital divide and foster digital empowerment by setting up advanced computer labs and delivering a future-ready curriculum.

The first Skill Leap lab was inaugurated in September 2023 at Village Kaina, District Samastipur in Bihar, equipped with 20 state-of-the-art computers and supported by three full-time local teachers. The initiative is run in collaboration with the KCS Foundation, a community-focused non-profit registered under NITI Aayog (DARPAN). The foundation provided ground-level support in identifying the school, staffing, and sustaining the program.

Kavin, who leads the initiative remotely from Dubai, conducts weekly interactive online sessions with students and visits the Bihar center in April 2025 to engage with teachers and students through workshops and motivational sessions. His efforts have been supported by nearly $10,000 in fundraising from global contributors.

What sets Skill Leap apart is its structured, future-focused curriculum, designed by Kavin in consultation with educators and technologists. Students are trained in digital literacy, computer operations, coding, artificial intelligence (AI), and practical financial literacy. DUBAI: Heads of multilateral development banks attending the 2023 global climate change conference, COP28, have committed to scaling resource mobilization to close the nature and water sector financing gap. The banks shared their views on what can be done differently to ensure that the world delivers on water, nature, and climate agendas. The high-level panel was moderated by Lord Zac Goldsmith, former UK Minister for Climate and Environment, and speakers included representatives from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), the Asian Development Bank, and the African Development Bank.

The IDB President, Ilan Goldfajn, shared the institution’s CLIMA pilot program, an innovative financial tool that provides grants to incentivize borrowers to achieve nature and climate objectives. The President of the Asian Development Bank, Masatsugu Asakawa, reinforced the need for the development community to lead in mobilizing partnerships that can generate new and additional financing. Dr. Beth Dunford, Vice President of Agriculture, Human and Social Development at the African Development Bank Group, urged urgent action to achieve Sustainable Development Goal 6 of “clean water and sanitation for all.”

Globally, water resources are dwindling, and impacts are intensifying due to increasing temperatures. By 2030, a quarter billion people will grapple with water scarcity, and by 2050, climate impacts could cost Africa $50 billion per year. Since 2010, the African Development Bank has invested an estimated $7.4 billion in water supply and sanitation services delivery, benefitting about 90 million people in Africa.

The African Development Bank has pledged to quadruple its financing for climate adaptation to reach $25 billion by 2025 through promoting climate-smart investments. The Bank will encourage private-sector funding, particularly for water treatment, recycling, and other components in the water value chain. It will also consider strategic debt relief programs like debt-for-nature swaps in return for a commitment from regional member countries to invest in climate-resilient infrastructure.

The meeting affirmed that there can be no sustainable future without urgent, systemic, and collective attention to the inextricable links between climate change, water crises, and biodiversity loss. Safeguarding water resources and biodiversity should be prioritized as they are crucial in climate strategies. Dr. Johan Rockstrom, Director of the Potsdam Institute for Climate Impact Research and the co-chair of the Global Commission on the Economics of Water, delivered a keynote on “Rethinking the Financial Architecture for Water and Nature.” He called for collaboration in mobilizing finance advancing a conceptual framework and restructuring the overall financial architecture for climate, water, and nature.

The commitment of multilateral development banks to close the nature and water financing gap is a significant step towards achieving sustainable development goals. The African Development Bank’s pledge to quadruple its financing for climate adaptation is a welcome development that will promote climate-smart investments. The urgent, systemic, and collective attention to the inextricable links between climate change, water crises, and biodiversity loss is crucial in safeguarding water resources and biodiversity, which are fundamental supports to human well-being and economies.

According to data from the Dubai Chamber of Commerce, the Southern Africa region recorded the highest regional growth in the value of chamber members’ exports and re-exports during H1 2023. This key economic indicator witnessed year-on-year growth of 81% to reach a total value of AED 477.2 million, up from AED 264 million in the corresponding period in 2022.
