PUNE: The national entrance exam organized by Deepstambh Foundation to provide opportunities for higher education and competitive exam training to differently-abled, orphaned, and underprivileged individuals under the Manobal Project will be held on June 3, informed Deepstambh Foundation’s founder, Yajurvendra Mahajan. He also mentioned that the last date for online registration for this exam will be May 31.

Giving more details, Yajurvendra Mahajan said, “Since 2005, Deepstambh Foundation has been working towards quality education and youth training. Under the Manobal Project of the Foundation, every year around 500 differently-abled, orphaned, and underprivileged students are provided with opportunities for higher education and competitive exam training through free residential coaching. The Manobal Project provides residential, free-of-cost coaching for competitive exams to visually impaired, physically disabled, hearing and speech impaired students, as well as to orphans, tribal and underprivileged students, and transgender individuals aged 18 and above. These students are trained for exams such as UPSC, MPSC, SSC, IBPS, RRB, and Combined Services.”

This national entrance exam is important for students preparing for competitive exams. Students who have passed Class 12 as well as graduates will be eligible for this exam. The exam will be in a multiple-choice format based on the Class 12 syllabus. Students who pass the multiple-choice exam will be interviewed by the Foundation. From these, 500 students will be selected across the country. These selected students will be provided with free-of-cost training under the guidance of experts at the Foundation’s residential centers in Jalgaon, Pune, and Delhi, based on their preferences.

Along with this, the Foundation also helps needy, underprivileged, and divyang students prepare for university and course entrance exams for courses such as BE, BCA, BBA, BA, B.Com, B.Sc, and PhD. Mahajan also mentioned that a separate entrance exam will be conducted by the Foundation for students interested in technological training, handicraft training, and other educational programs.

This is a national-level project designed to be inclusive, easily accessible, and user-friendly for differently-abled students. It also provides international-standard technology and guidance from experts specializing in various disabilities. Please note that the entrance fees for this exam are Rs 50 only.

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has revealed the schedule for the Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main, which will unfold in two sessions this year. The inaugural session is scheduled to take place from January 27th to February 1st, 2024, with two-time slots available each day, from 09:00 AM to 12:00 PM and 03:00 PM to 06:00 PM. Addressing the community of leaders, educators, and future citizens of the state, the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Meghalaya, Shri Conrad K. Sangma, said in his inaugural address, “The Meghalaya Education Symposium 2023 is proud to host such a diverse range of participants, including my cabinet colleagues, senior government officials, educators, and esteemed thought leaders. In our pursuit of enhancing digital learning, we distributed approximately 26,000 digital tablets to students in the fiscal year 2021-22.” 

He further added, ” The government is keen on including suggestions and recommendations through the education symposium to continuously improve the higher education system. I would like to take this opportunity to congratulate all the bright youngsters who have topped the Meghalaya Board of School Education examinations. I sincerely hope that our educational system can foster in students a healthy sense of competition that will help them succeed in their chosen fields.”

Cabinet Minister of the Department of Health and Family Welfare, Dr. Mazel Ampareen Lyngdoh, addressed the gathering and emphasized the need for comprehensive education. She noted, ” I am glad to have the chance to stand before the future of our state and express pride in their capabilities as bearers of our hopes and aspirations.
