Honda CB125 Hornet: Ride Your Rizz

The Honda CB125 Hornet is designed for today’s urban youth, combining aggressive street-style design with advanced features and thrilling performance. It sports a bold front fascia that gives it a commanding road presence, complemented by an all-LED lighting setup, including a signature twin-LED headlamp with LED DRLs and high-mounted LED turn indicators. Moving to the side profile, the CB125 Hornet gets a muscular fuel tank with sharp tank shrouds and a stylish muffler.

Adding flair to its premium touch are the first-in-segment golden USD front forks, along with a 5-step adjustable mono-shock absorber that aids in providing superior handling to the motorcycle. The unique positioning of the ignition key on the fuel tank adds to both convenience and style. Further accentuating the new CB125 Hornet’s street-smart character are multi-spoke alloy wheels and a split seat set-up for better comfort of both rider and pillion.

Designed to match the style and preferences of new-age riders, the all-new CB125 Hornet is offered in four dynamic colour options with striking combinations. They are – Pearl Siren Blue with Lemon Ice Yellow, Pearl Igneous Black, Pearl Siren Blue with Athletic Blue Metallic, and Pearl Siren Blue with Sports Red. In terms of features, it gets a 4.2-inch TFT display with Bluetooth connectivity and Honda RoadSync app compatibility.

Thanks to the Honda RoadSync app, the riders can focus on the road and still stay connected with seamless access to navigation, calls & SMS alerts, and music playback with a headset. The screen can be toggled by the switches placed on the left handlebar. The CB125 Hornet gets a Universal USB Type-C charging port, enabling riders to charge their devices while on the go. Moreover, it comes equipped with an engine stop switch & a side-stand indicator with engine inhibitor for added safety.

Powering the all-new CB125 Hornet is a 123.94cc, single-cylinder, fuel-injected, OBD2B-compliant engine that churns out 8.2 kW of power at 7500 RPM and 11.2 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The engine comes paired with a 5-speed gearbox. It can sprint from 0 to 60 km/h in just 5.4 seconds, making it the fastest motorcycle in its class. With a lightweight build of just 124 kg and a power-packed performance, the CB125 Hornet offers effortless maneuverability and instant thrill.

Braking duties are handled by a 240mm petal disc at the front and a 130mm drum at the rear. The inclusion of the petal disc enhances heat dissipation & improves cooling, thus improving braking efficiency. Moreover, as an added safety measure, the CB125 Hornet is equipped with a single-channel ABS. It rides on wide tubeless tyres – 80/100-17 unit at the front and a 110/80-17 unit at the rear. This setup instills confidence in the rider to take on every ride with ease and control.

Honda Shine 100 DX: Solid Hai

Carrying forward the ‘Shine’ legacy, the new Shine 100 DX has been introduced to cater to new-age customers with its feature-rich package. The new Shine 100 DX gets a refreshed design that brings the same cult in a more advanced avatar. At the front, it gets a newly designed headlamp with elegant chrome garnishing that adds a touch of premium appeal. The solid profile is defined by a sculpted, wide fuel tank bearing the iconic Honda branding.

The new Shine 100 DX features attractive graphics on the body panels, enhancing the motorcycle’s style quotient. Its long seat ensures maximum comfort for both rider and pillion, making it an ideal choice for daily commutes. The all-black engine and grab rail further add a contrast, while the chrome muffler cover gives it a refined and polished finish.

The Shine 100 DX is offered in four vibrant colour options designed to suit a wide range of customers. They are – Pearl Igneous Black, Imperial Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Geny Gray Metallic. Equipped to meet the evolving needs of customers, the Shine 100 DX comes with a new LCD digital instrument cluster that provides a host of information, including real-time display of mileage, distance to empty (range), and service due indicator. Adding a safety element, this commuter motorcycle gets a side stand engine cut-off feature as well.

At the heart of the Shine 100 DX is Honda’s efficient 98.98cc single-cylinder, fuel-injected, OBD2B-compliant engine that produces 5.43 kW of power at 7500 RPM and 8.04 Nm of peak torque at 5000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 4-speed gearbox. Engineered with Honda’s trusted eSP (Enhanced Smart Power) technology, the motorcycle offers smooth acceleration, reduced friction, and optimized combustion – delivering superior mileage without compromising on performance.

Built for the Indian roads, the Shine 100 DX features telescopic front forks and 5-step adjustable rear shock absorbers for a smooth and controlled ride. Braking duties are handled by drum brakes at both ends, complemented by Honda’s Combined Brake System (CBS) for enhanced safety. The new Shine 100 DX rides on 17-inch tubeless tyres and gets a 168 mm ground clearance, ensuring confident handling and stability across varied terrains.

Aggressive Streetfighter Design and Striking Colour Options

Under the styling concept of ‘Aggressive X Pure’, both the CB750 Hornet and CB1000 Hornet SP flaunt a muscular streetfighter design with sharp bodywork, and aggressive tank shrouds. They also get an all-LED lighting system with a striking headlamp that enhances their commanding road presence. The CB750 Hornet will be available in two bold colour schemes – Matte Pearl Glare White and Matte Ballistic Black Metallic. The flagship naked streetfighter, CB1000 Hornet SP, will be available in a single Matte Ballistic Black Metallic shade and its strength is given a special touch with the addition of gold accents.

Advanced Hardware and Hi-tech Features

Engineered for high-performance fun maneuvering, both these street naked motorcycles feature top-tier hardware components. The CB750 Hornet comes equipped with a SHOWA SFF-BPTM inverted fork at the front and a monoshock damper with Pro-Link swingarm at the rear for high quality ride comfort in speed ranges on a variety of roads. The CB1000 Hornet SP features a SHOWA SFF-BP inverted fork at the front and a new ÖHLINS TTX36 at the rear for high-speed operability.

Braking duties are managed by dual front disc brakes with 310mm Brembo radial-mount calipers for CB1000 Hornet SP and at the rear it gets a 240mm disc. The CB750 Hornet gets 296mm dual front disc brakes and a 240mm disc at the rear. Both models feature dual-channel ABS for additional safety. These naked streetfighters boast a 5.0-inch full-colour TFT display with Honda’s RoadSync app connectivity that allows seamless smartphone connectivity for navigation, call alerts, and music control via Bluetooth. They also get a new illuminated multi-functional switch on the left side of handlebar which facilitates operations intuitively such as adjusting multiple settings.

Brisk Performance and Electronic Aids

Powering the Honda CB750 Hornet is a newly developed inline 2-cylinder, 755cc, 4 Stroke,
8 valves, liquid-cooled engine with a 270-degree crank. This motor churns out 67.5 kW of power at 9,500 RPM and 75 Nm of peak torque at 7,250 RPM. The flagship CB1000 Hornet SP is powered by a 999cc, liquid-cooled, 4-stroke, 16-valve, Inline Four DOHC engine that puts out a whopping 115.6 kW of power at 11,000 RPM and 107 Nm of torque at 9,000 RPM. They come mated to a 6-speed gearbox and get an assist & slipper clutch as well.

The CB750 Hornet gets four riding modes – Sport, Standard, Rain, and User. The flagship CB1000 Hornet SP gets five riding modes. While Sport, Standard, and Rain modes remain the same for both models, it gets two rider customizable User modes, which allow the riders to customize it as per their preference. Additional rider aids include Honda Selectable Torque control which can be adjusted at three different levels to suit to rider’s preference, and emergency stop signal, making every ride safe. The CB1000 Hornet SP also features a bi-directional quickshifter as standard.

Pricing and Availability

The all-new 2025 Honda CB750 Hornet has priced at Rs. 8,59,500 (ex-showroom), while the flagship CB1000 Hornet SP carries a price tag of Rs. 12,35,900 (ex-showroom). Bookings for both motorcycles are now open, and their deliveries are set to commence from June 2025 onwards. One can also book them online via Honda BigWing India’s official website (www.HondaBigWing.in). The CB750 Hornet will be available across all BigWing Topline and BigWing dealerships while the CB1000 Hornet SP will be sold exclusively through BigWing Topline dealerships in India.
