Director Ahmed Khan’s rollicking comedy caper Welcome To The Jungle has shaped up as one of the most awaited comedy films of recent times. As the spectacle inches closer to its release date, actor Tusshar Kapoor praised Akshay Kumar’s work ethic and also revealed that director Ahmed Khan did not compromise on the film’s visualisation and execution, justifying the mighty ensemble cast overall.

“Ahmed Khan never compromised on how he visualised and executed the film. He has justified the cast in the story. Maybe that’s why it has taken time, but that’s his passion,” he shared, highlighting the way actors leave their mark with dedicated screen time.

Further, the actor shared that even though Akshay Kumar pulls off playful pranks and cracks jokes with the cast on set, he is one of the hardest-working and sharpest actors. While reflecting on their reunion, he also credited Kumar’s understanding of the script. “Akshay is sharp, and the entire script is at the tip of his fingers. Even though he’s always joking around and playing pranks, he works equally hard,” he mentioned.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film brings together a formidable ensemble including, Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Hemant Pandey, Brijendra Kala, Feroze Khan (Arjun), Late Pankaj Dheer ji, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, Jeetu Verma, Vrihi Kodvara, Adityaa Singgh, and Bhagya Bhanushali.

An Ahmed Khan entertainer, Welcome To The Jungle is presented by A.A. Nadiadwala, Cape of Good Films, and Star Studio18 in association with Seeta Films and Rakesh Dang. The film is a Base Industries Group Production, produced by Rakesh Dang and Vedant Vikaas Baali. Produced by Firoz A. Nadiadwallah, Welcome To The Jungle gears up for a theatrical storm on June 26, 2026, in cinemas internationally through Marudhar Entertainment.

INDIA: After months of teasing audiences with glimpses of its enormous cast, Welcome to the Jungle has finally unveiled its trailer, and it’s every bit as brilliant and full of life as one would expect from a film carrying the Welcome name.

Running over four minutes and 16 seconds, the trailer wastes no time getting into the madness full throttle. Given the film-within-a-film setup, the trailer is replete with rollicking fun and delivers on every expectation and punchline! The trailer begins with the team searching for a once-famous actor, played by Akshay Kumar, whose career has declined after a series of flops. As they set out on their mission, the film gradually introduces its massive ensemble cast through catchy song sequences. The film’s army of very able actors and comedy mavericks set the tone for a comic caper that appears to thrive on sheer unpredictability. Rather than revealing too much about the story, the trailer focuses on moments, and there are plenty of them to keep you hooked.

From Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty’s easy banter to bizarre situations involving the film’s many characters, the trailer leans heavily into comedy. A scene featuring Raveena Tandon and Aftab Shivdasani, a string of visual gags and comic moments involving Kiku Sharda and others, suggests that the film is more interested in generating laughs than explaining its plot.

The scale matches the energy. Helicopters, explosions, action sequences, and jungle-set adventures are sprinkled throughout the trailer, though almost every action beat seems to end with a punchline. The approach feels closer to an old-school Bollywood entertainer where comedy drives the story, even when the stakes become larger than life.

For fans of the franchise, the biggest draw may simply be seeing so many familiar faces share screen space again. The trailer banks heavily on ensemble chemistry, quick-fire humour, and nostalgia, while promising a bigger canvas than anything the series has attempted before.

Whether audiences come for the action, the adventure, or the comedy, one thing is clear from the trailer – Welcome to the Jungle isn’t trying to be subtle. It’s aiming for maximum chaos, and it seems perfectly comfortable embracing it.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, the film brings together a formidable ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Hemant Pandey, Brijendra Kala, Feroze Khan (Arjun), Late Pankaj Dheer Ji, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, Jeetu Verma, Vrihi Kodvara, Adityaa Singgh and Bhagya Bhanushali.

MUMBAI: If you were to peek into Akshay Kumar’s craziest transformation yet, the actor is once again proving why he remains one of Hindi cinema’s most fearless entertainers. With the new track Ghis Ghis, from Welcome To The Jungle, Akshay’s character as a Bhojpuri actor is evident.

What makes the sequence even more outrageous is that it unfolds within the film’s madcap film-within-a-film setup, where Akshay plays an exaggerated Bhojpuri movie actor shooting for a fictional mass entertainer. Presented by Junglee Music, Ghis Ghis Ghis is now streaming across all major audio platforms, with the full music video out on the Times Music YouTube channel. Composed by Vikram Montrose, Ghis Ghis Ghis brings together vocals of Vikram Montrose and Supriyaa Paathak, with lyrics penned by Abhinav Shekhar.

The song has already exploded online, turning into an internet sensation. Clips, behind-the-scenes gossip, and fan reactions are doing the rounds on social media, with audiences particularly intrigued by Akshay’s eccentric avatar and the film-within-a-film concept as the driving force of the sequence. Much of the curiosity online has stemmed from the spoof-like take on larger-than-life Bhojpuri cinema tropes, with viewers enjoying the unapologetically over-the-top energy of the fictional film shoot.

In Welcome To The Jungle, using a film-in-film device, Akshay Kumar essays the role of a loud, flamboyant Bhojpuri film star shooting for a fictional entertainer that is over the top, within the main story itself. The role is deliberately loud, from flashy costumes and dramatic mannerisms to exaggerated swagger. But the humour comes from the madness of the situation, as the sequence is enacted like an exaggerated Bhojpuri film shoot, tapping into the popularity and theatricality of Bhojpuri mass entertainers.

The song sequence celebrates the high-energy, whistle-worthy style that has become synonymous with mass cinema. The makers cleverly use the fictional film shoot as a playground for chaos, spoof, self-aware humour, and exaggerated cinematic energy, making the sequence feel intentionally theatrical and gloriously excessive.

The comedy lies in Akshay’s unabashed commitment to the absurdity of the character, and that commitment is exactly what viewers are loving. The biggest talking point is how fearlessly Akshay throws himself into the role. At a stage in his career where most stars play safe, he seems completely uninhibited here, fully surrendering to the madness of the scene and the self-aware humour of the film-within-a-film setup.

Fans online are already calling it one of his most unpredictable comic transformations in years. Social media users have especially praised the actor for understanding the tone of the sequence without holding back. This kind of self-aware, film-within-a-film comedy is exactly what audiences expect from the Welcome franchise. And if the internet reaction so far is anything to go by, Ghis Ghis Ghis is emerging as one of the film’s biggest crowd-pleasers. It is outrageous, gloriously chaotic, and what a joy it is to watch a leading man completely shed his image and have the time of his life playing a part this uninhibited.

The film brings together a formidable ensemble including Akshay Kumar, Suniel Shetty, Disha Patani, Jacqueline Fernandez, Arshad Warsi, Jackie Shroff, Paresh Rawal, Raveena Tandon, Lara Dutta, Farida Jalal, Johny Lever, Shreyas Talpade, Tusshar Kapoor, Rajpal Yadav, Krushna Abhishek, Kiku Sharda, Daler Mehndi, Aftab Shivdasani, Mukesh Tiwari, Yashpal Sharma, Kiran Kumar, Zakir Hussain, Vindu Dara Singh, Urvashi Rautela, Hemant Pandey, Brijendra Kala, Feroze Khan (Arjun), Late Pankaj Dheer ji, Puneet Issar, Sudesh Berry, Jeetu Verma, Vrihi Kodvara, Adityaa Singgh, and Bhagya Bhanushali.

Educational Session for Students Held by Jungle Belles under the ‘Supermom of our Forests’ Initiative

PUNE: In celebration of International Tiger Day today, the Pune-based Jungle Belles hosted a special awareness session for school students under their initiative ‘Supermom of our Forests’ at B.V.B. Paranjape Vidya Mandir K.M. Munshi Kaladalan, 4th Floor, Kothrud, Pune, to introduce children to the remarkable lives of tigresses and to foster a deeper understanding of wildlife conservation.

Paranjape Vidya Mandir’s Secondary Headmistress, Smita Ranjekar, Primary Headmistress, Abhijata Chavan, Teachers of 5th and 6th standards of Paranjape Vidya Mandir, Hemangi Vartak, founder of Jungle Belles, Sanjay Deshpande, Madhulika Tijare, Saurabh Chavan, Parth Salunke, Siddhesh Sonawane were present at the occasion.

Hemangi Vartak, through stories, visuals, and interactive discussions, brought to life the struggles and strength of the tigress, the top predator and arguably the most powerful mother in the forest.

She introduced the audience to some of India’s most iconic tigresses, including Chhoti Tara and Maya from Tadoba, Junabai from Tadoba Buffer, Mataram from Pench, Mausi Ma from Sanjay Gandhi National Park, K-Mark from Kolara, and others like F2 and Fairy from Umred Karandla. Students were shown photographs of these tigresses and learned fascinating facts about their lives, territories, and cubs.

She explained that a tigress usually lives for about 14 years. In her lifetime, she gives birth to 4 to 5 sets of cubs, with 1 to 5 cubs each time. Her pregnancy lasts around 3 months, and she takes care of her cubs for nearly 2.5 years. She raises them all on her own, without help from the male tiger. The tigress hunts, protects, and feeds her cubs by herself. This is why she is truly a ‘supermom’. She survives and raises her family using only her instincts and strong willpower.

The session also shed light on the conservation efforts of the Indian government, particularly Project Tiger, which has been active since 1973. Vartak explained how modern tools like GPS collars, mobile apps, and camera traps are now used to monitor tiger movements and ensure their safety. She also discussed measures such as forest patrolling, the creation of safe buffer zones, and community education in villages near forests.

Students participated eagerly, asking questions about tiger behavior, conservation, and how they could contribute to protecting wildlife. The session concluded with a message of hope and responsibility: that every young person can be a part of preserving the majestic tigress and her home in the wild.

PUNE: Wellington College International Pune (WCI Pune) proudly presented Pune’s first-ever musical production of Disney’s The Jungle Book Kids, reimagined with a vibrant Indian twist, recently. Hosted on campus for an enthusiastic audience of parents, families, and friends, the show brought together a talented cast of Junior and Senior School pupils who dazzled the crowd with their energy, creativity, and passion.

Set in the heart of the Indian jungle, the musical followed Mowgli’s journey to self-discovery, featuring beloved characters like Baloo, Bagheera, King Louie, and Shere Khan. The production embraced India’s rich heritage, weaving together the charm of Gond tribal art, brocade fabrics, and traditional silhouettes to create a visual spectacle rooted in cultural storytelling.

A first of its kind, this adaptation not only entertained but also educated, using music, movement, and vibrant costumes to bring ancient folklore to life on stage. With stunning choreography, heartfelt performances, and a clear message of unity and belonging, the show was a true celebration of WCI Pune’s global values and local spirit.

Olav Hekala, the Head of Music, loved his experience in preparing the students for Disney’s The Jungle Book. He highlighted, “How, though the production was challenging, it was also incredibly rewarding. Apart from the usual hurdles encountered with any musical, there was the looming question of how to present a story created by an Anglo Indian writer in a relevant and respectful way. The creative team, performers, and everyone involved went above and beyond to make this not just a relevant production but a fun one as well.”

The entire WCI Pune community, from teachers to technical crew, played a role in bringing this magical production to life—an unforgettable milestone in the school’s cultural journey.
